Mason and Bentley Aesalon were twins- identical twins, to point out the obvious. When out in public, no matter how old somebody was the Gryffindor twin never failed to notice at least two people stop and take a second look at them. Mason didn’t completely blame them because they were pretty damn hot identical twins, but still. People came in twos sometimes, just like candies; it was a fact and not a new one either. Bidding his brother goodbye, the boy walked away and apperated back to his house to save time. The girl he had left to get breakfast for was gone, no note, no anything. Shrugging his shoulders, Mason wasn’t fazed by this. Every girl that Mason slept with was friends with benefits. He didn’t have any emotional attachments and so if they went before breakfast then it wasn’t his issue, but there preference. Sticking what he had bought her from the café into his fridge, he now had leftovers for later- nothing he ever complained about. Mason loved his midnight snacks, especially when they were breakfast foods. The Gryffindor had observed that late at night, foods such as waffles, pancakes, bacon and ever cereal tasted better than when in the morning. Why? That he really didn’t care about. As long as it tasted better than usual, he was down. Aimlessly staying around his house all day, it was only when he had found himself wanting to go to the dorm room to hang out with people that he moved. Being lazy wasn’t usually Mason’s thing, but today with his hangover he didn’t particularly care that he wasn’t being productive with anything of a sort. Mason apperated onto the campus after leaving his apartment, never liking to apperate on the building grounds for no particular reason. Having an apartment outside of the campus, away from the University had been Mason’s parent’s idea. It had surprised him, but they had offered both him and Bentley to stay in the same apartment, a three bedroom one, as long as they promised to go to all of their classes. The Aesalons were a wealthy family, and their mother had always been a tad bit paranoid about what happened inside the dorm with so many guys crammed into one room. Personally, Mason didn’t hate it. It was fun to be around your friends, to stay up late and chat about whatever. There were times when he liked to get away, though, and that was why he had accepted the offer without further questions. Appearing on campus, Mason took a whiff of the warm, summery air around him. The favorite season by far in Mason’s books was summer. He loved being able to walk around without a jacket, and not having to worry about sinking a billion feet into the snow because it was piled up higher than it looked. Sighing to himself, he had his brother on his mind. Having come from randomly stumbling upon his brother at a café, he was noticing how close they no longer were. It had been awhile since he had really spoken with his brother about something personal. While growing up, the childhood years for the Aesalon brothers were ones where they spent every day together. Once upon a time, they had been best friends? What had happened? He did miss his brother at times, that he would admit. However, not out loud; if he did that, then it would be pointing out that they were indeed distanced and he hated talking about why. Stopping abruptly, he hated coincidences, especially when they were in the form of Daphne, the reason as to why the twins weren’t as close anymore. Knowing her build anywhere, he had made it inside of the school walls when he spotted her across the way. It was when she went to turn around that he turned into his animagus form. Mason had figured out he was able to change into a white tiger years ago. He loved what form he could take, as tigers were fierce and bold. Not to mention great for attracting a girl. There were a surprising amount of girls who loved cuddling up to a furry animal that they knew wasn’t going to tear them limb from limb. The fact that he could change into a different form had shown quite useful in other manners as well. For one, not everybody knew he was an animagus. No matter the size of his ego, he didn’t go around spreading all of the abilities he had to anyone he came across. If it happened to be mentioned (or there was a girl he wanted to impress) then he would gladly let the information out. Otherwise, was there really a point? Mason was a private guy in retrospect and though he spread his ‘love,’ that was about all that was easy to access without a fight. That is, if you were a beautiful women. For men, everything had labels screaming “access denied shithead” all over it. Making his way over to the side of the hallway, the white tiger laid down, placing one paw over his eyes. The Gryffindor knew that he was pulling a very childish mood. The fact that he didn’t care was why it had been decided so quickly. His plan was to not be spotted by Daphne, avoiding all and any contact that may have happened otherwise. In Mason’s eyes, she was a bitch. He may have once loved her; she had brought him down so far into low-self esteemed danger with rejection that he didn’t believe in love any longer. Mason refused to be a plaything for somebody, unless it was by choice and in the bedroom only. That was a whole different case completely. When Mason went into his white tiger form randomly, it was obvious that he was blocking someone out. If he didn’t want to listen to somebody, he would simply change. Although he was a big animal, he was still trying to hide and act as if no one could see him. Booking it the other way was just too noticeable! Because, you know, changing into an animal wasn’t that big of a deal or anything. Muting the feelings that he had rummaging through his stomach, he had never been able to fully get over what had happened. Mason never talked about it with anyone. All he did was hate and glare. Mason wasn’t one for confrontations, but with his irritable mood she was lucky that he was still trying to pull a fast one over on her by ‘hiding’ by the side of the hallway wall. 1105 WORDS , DAPHNE , listening to ZOEY SNORE , CRAPEHH! |
