red

green/blue. Covered by glasses when she is reading.
distinguishing features:
Her hair would be her biggest distinguishing feature, it's a beautiful red color, it's full and bright and shiney and she absolutely adores it. THESE would definitely be another. To her the birds represent freedom. With that they represent her own freedom and independence in every way. They also symbolize strength, all that she has been through because she's muggleborn and because people still judge her for that.
style:
Rose has a bit of a girly style, she loves dresses and skirts, mostly her style is rather neat, she loves earthy tones because they match nicely with her hair. She loves to wear heels or boots. She also loves jewelry, especially old jewelry that still belonged to her greatgrandparents or even older than that. She tends to carefully plan her outfits, because she always wants to look good. People already have enough reason to judge her, the way she looks doesn't have to add to that.

personality:
- - - STUBBORN
It’s one of the many things that Rose inherited from her loving mother. It doesn’t matter how well someone tries to convince her of something that isn’t her opinion about something, she will still to her story and there is now way in hell that she will ever agree with someone else. Especially when it’s someone that she can’t stand. Most of the time Rose is right about what she’s talking about but she has her moments that she’s wrong and even then she will stick to her story. She has even gone against a teacher once because she believed that he was wrong and she was right, and that's a big thing to do for Rose because in her mind teachers shouldn't really be messed with. It's rare for Rose to doubt something and when she stands by something she's always sure that it's the right thing.
- - - INTELLIGENT
It’s no secret that Rose is smart as hell, just like her mother always was even though Rose is also smart in the wizarding world. It might be because she's muggleborn, she feels like she has to try harder. She knows a lot of things about nearly everything there is to know something about. She loves to talk about things with others that might know more about something and she loves to share her wisdom with the world. In class she always the first one to raise her hand and she’s always the first to finish an assignment. She has all her homework done before the teacher even asks for it, or so it would seem. She started reading when she was still very little and even before she could read herself she would sit with her mom or her dad for hours just reading through the largest books. Her love for knowledge started by listening to her father talk about the wars that he had been through, it made her want to know more.
- - - RESPONSIBLE
Rose might be an only child, but she has always felt responsible for her friends, much like an older sister might feel responsible about her younger siblings. She does kind like to get into trouble, but for some reason she does always take responsibility for her actions and she would never let someone else take the blame for something that she did. She is very responsible when it comes to her school work, always wanting to get it done before time and always taking responsibility when she might have not been able to finish something. Her father was in the military so that is probably where this sense of responsibility comes from, he taught her a lot of values and she stills lives by them.
- - - BRAVE
It’s part of why she’s in Gryffindor of course. Her father was in the army and his bravery always taught Rose that she shouldn't back down in the face of danger. The fact that she is muggleborn adds to this, because she always has to fight her way through everything, at least that's what it feels like at times. She knows what to do in stressful situation. Something that she also has is that she will do anything when dared to do it. She can handle a very tense situation and actually manage to keep her head cool. She does get scared and she does tend to not want to face one of her fears, but if it's needed she will do what is asked of her. Her father taught her to be strong and that's what she needs to do, especially after he died on a mission she's even more determined to honor him by being as brave as he always was.
- - - HONEST
It’s not just because she’s a bad liar, which she is. The only time that she can ever get away with a lie is when it is really needed and someone's life is at stack. Other than that she is almost always caught whenever she tries to tell a lie of any kind. But it's not just that. That she believes in honesty, but also because she is just disgusted with anyone that lies to her. She would much rather be hurt by the truth than be lied to. She just wants to know what she’s dealing with. There are a lot of things that her friends could do and she would forgive them. But lying to her is not one of those things. It’s THE way to get Rose pissed off and to ruin the friendship with her.
- - - MODEST
Rose is a very talented piano player and it's something that she loves to do more than anything. She is also pretty good at playing the violin but she prefers the piano. The thing is that no one really knows about this gift that Rose has for music because she doesn't like to brag about it. She loves a lot of muggle things because for the first part of her life she was raised as one. Her mother quite likes the fact that Rose has such an interest in that even after she found out that she was a witch. The same about her looks, she knows that she's not the ugliest one around but she would never go around telling everyone how pretty she is and asking for compliments. She's very comfortable with herself and she doesn't need someone else to tell her that she's pretty because that just doesn't matter to her.

history:
From the day that she was born she was her parents’ pride and joy. They had had some trouble getting pregnant so finally welcoming a baby girl into their family was the most wonderful thing that they could have asked for. Her father was a soldier in the military, she saw on and off because he was sent away rather often, her mother was incredibly smart and she was on the path of becoming an amazing lawyer, but stayed home for a few years after her daughter was born, not wanting to miss a thing. Rose Cinnamon was named after her two grandmothers and she has always been proud to wear both names. Rose was a fun loving girl right from the start, smiling and laughing as soon as she was able to. She was a caring child, always trying to help others out. The one thing that troubled her and her parents was the fact that Rose had to ability to do things that most kids shouldn’t be able to do. Every single time that something weird happened her parents brushed it off as it just being some kind of weird coincidence or they just hadn’t been paying attention, but something was definitely off when it came to the little girl. The fact was that little Rose was a witch, the first in the family and therefore no one knew what she was and no one knew to tell her what she was, or how to handle it and cope with it. For the first eleven years of her life she lived in the bliss that is ignorance and she had no idea what she was and what she could do with it.
When she turned eleven and got her letter to Hogwarts, everything became clear and she started to emerge herself in the world that was magic. The first thing that she learned rather quickly, is that being muggleborn was not going to make her life any easier. She felt like she had to try a lot harder to be as good as the rest of them, like she had to catch up on a lot of things to actually be accepted into the community. She learned about the war that had raged the land decades ago and she learned that even though it had been decades ago, the marks were still all around the magical community. It took her a long time to accept that not everyone was going to be as accepting of her blood status as others were, but it just made her want to fight harder, it made her want to work harder and it made her want to try harder. Her years in Hogwarts were a mixture, they were both amazing but there were also times where she was faced once again with the judgment of others.
The first tragedy that struck came in her fifth year, she heard that her father had passed away in war. She went home for a few months, able to do so because she was ahead in nearly all her classes, and she was heartbroken. When she came back she was more quiet for a long time and it took her a while to get back to normal, sometimes she feels like she’s still not back to normal. In her sixth year, she got her first boyfriend, the captain of slytherin quidditch team, there were so many things wrong with their pairing. The slytherin house wasn’t exactly known for their tolerance of muggle borns and Rose suffered the most during the months that she was with Jack, her boyfriend. They stayed together, Jack wasn’t like the other slytherins and he stood by Rose, defended her, cleaned out her hair when she had been bombarded with several disgusting things in the hallways again. They dated till the end of their seventh year, that was when Jack went on to pursue his quidditch career and Rose went to college. They parted, but promised each other that if they were thirty five and still single that they would find each other again, something that Rose will never forget.
It seemed that Rose had a thing for falling for those that were known for being the most intolerant of her bloodstatus. In college she was alone for a while, still hurting because she lost Jack and even still mourning the loss of her father. It wasn’t until she met a certain blond boy that she felt like maybe she could open herself up again. Of course that was rudely interrupted and things got messed up. She’s still trying to figure out just how everything works and she still doesn’t understand how Lucian can be promised to someone else, but she doesn’t want him out of her life and if she has to fight for him she will.

rp example:
It was difficult to not wonder about what could have happened if things had gone entirely different. There were a lot of things that could have changed the course of the years before and a great deal had to do with the fact that she had gotten involved with a certain blond male that had really gotten to her. It was still true that she was over him, and that she didn't miss him. Most girls would be lying about that because they still loved that one guy, but for Rose it was true in every way possible. She didn't long to have Asher back in her life, she didn't need him back, nor did she long to have just the idea of him back. But she was still hurt because of everything that had happened. She had let someone get very close to her, someone that her entire family did not agree with one bit. Rose had sacrificed a lot, Nikolai was actually quite a good example of that, and she had taken a lot of crap from her friends and family just so that she could be with Asher. Her fourth year had been with a lot of ups and downs just because of this one boy and now that she was grown another year older she was starting to wonder if it had been worth it, if it could have been different. It was useless to think about it of course because nothing could be changed. But she knew that if the entire Asher thing hadn't happened, then this moment between her and Nikolai would have been very different, it wouldn't have felt like she was doing something wrong. Then again if the whole Asher thing hadn't happened maybe her and Niko would have. But that was assuming that he felt the same, and she highly doubted that was true.
This was something that she had most certainly not missed over the summer; trying to avoid how she felt about Nikolai. There was a reason why she stayed away from him, why she had always tried to not get too close; because she wasn't sure of what she would do if they did get too close. "As am I," she replied in a mere whisper. She didn't really believe that Nikolai was like Asher, she didn't believe that he really agreed with half of the things that his socalled best friend did. There was something so honest and sincere in those deep green eyes of his and she could see it every single time their eyes met. It was something that she had always missed in Asher's eyes. Sure, he went against his father sometimes and he might nog agree with him all the time, but when push came to shove he would fall under his command. Rose didn't know why, but, she just knew that Nikolai was so different.
But that didn't mean that she was allowed to let him get this close to her, though, knowing that she wasn't allowed did not make it any easier for her to move away from him and she still stood there with her hands resting on his shoulders. If someone were to see them there it would be around the castle and back faster than a golden snitch. If someone were to see them together, standing so close with their arms around each other, it would known to her entire family before she would even be able to pull away from Nikolai at this point. Rose knew all of this, she knew that this was wrong, that she should not let him get this close, that her family would really not let her hear the end of it and that they would not agree with her just standing this close to him. But there was something about him and that was something that she just couldn't pull away from. It was unlike anything that she had ever felt. Of course there had been some major chemistry between her and Asher but this, this was something else entirely and she didn't quite know how to handle it. Actually, she knew how to handle it, she should just avoid him completely and then it would be handled. But she just didn't know how to avoid him because she kept wanting to see him. It was what she waited for in class and in the great hall; she waited to see him there.
Without thinking about it, Rose moved her hands slightly. One moved to rest against the back of his neck as she other rested against the side of his face. A shaky exhale left between her slightly parted lips as she watched her fingers move against his cheek and gently down his jaw. Her head was practically screaming at her to get a grip on herself and stop this immediately. But her body, and her heart, had other ideas entirely; she did not want to go anywhere. She had never noticed just how perfect his features were and now that she knew she just wanted to keep watching him. Though within a few seconds she realized that she was staring and she cleared her throat softly, turning her eyes away from his face as a faded pink shade moved over her cheeks. This was not like her at all, but he made her very nervous.
