likes:
women, potions, butterbeer, expensive brooms, chocolate frogs, muggle football, mansions, weird sisters music, dueling, quidditch, swimming, enchanted cars, good parties, alcohol, pot, strip poker, muggle flicks (that's the only thing they're good for, he says).
dislikes:
loud portraits, ghosts, mudbloods, house elves, annoying girls, professors, divination, his non-slytherin siblings, muggles and their stupidity, bad music, stage-five clingers, libraries, the woods, being alone.
strengths:
gifted at dueling, an all around hard-working and excellent student, an outgoing and charismatic person, picking up chicks.
weaknesses:
incredibly proud, stubborn, negligent at times, an asshole to most, abrasive, over-confident at times.
fears:
not living up to his own expectations.
dreams:
becoming an incredibly successful and renowned wizard in one way or another (still uncertain on how), marrying a pureblood witch who has graced the cover of wizards illustrated at least once, having equally as intelligent, attractive children.
secrets:
incredibly self-conscious and anxious, alcott is not as tough as he presents himself. he often feels as though he's not good enough. he longs to leave a mark in the wizarding world, but has yet to even find himself as a person let alone find his niche. he acts like a self-assured bastard just so nobody smells his weakness.
personality:
alcott is an incredibly aggressive, arrogant, and domineering young man that seems to rub most people the wrong way--that is, if you're not in slytherin. conceited to the bone, he claims he has never seen a more perfect specimen than he and lucky for him, he was indeed blessed with his father's and mother's good looks. still, most people agree that despite his irritating and pompous nature, he is quite charming in the way he talks and walks and flicks his wand in a duel. he oozes false self confidence he truly lacks but is successful in projecting. his only saving grace is how he seems to be a magnet. there is some sort of attractive force to him when he graces a room.
despite his charming nature, many people have quite a bit to say about alcott and it's not positive. most would agree he is a classic slytherin absorbed in his own self. he thinks that the planets revolve around him and not the sun. every sentence begins with 'I' and if he's not gaining from something, there's no point in helping. he's incredibly selfish and if you even hint at it, he'll just smirk and agree with you.
he's also a big womanizer around the university of hogwarts and even beyond its territory. never does he go a weekend without sticking his tongue down another chick's throat at the very least. he has absolutely no respect for most women and sees them more as conquests, trophies, and just more notches on his bedpost. he doesn't believe in true love and sees marriage as a physical and financial bonding and nothing but. women are simply things to him and he and his buds often go around campus laughing and talking about how they shagged so and so last night. he's an absolute pig when it comes to women.
alcott is also incredibly competitive and is constantly in a race with the rest of his friends and students of hogwarts. he needs to be the best; he needs to succeed. born with a great ambition to be something, alcott seems to lack the foundation for this sucess--a goal. he's a bit lost in what he wants to be when he grows up. although at the age of twenty, there's not much growing left. he's incredibly self-conscious that he'll be unable to fulfill his grand destiny and is reaching at anything and everything in order to discover it.

history:
born twenty years ago on august thirteenth, two months premature, alcott edgar lestrange is alphonse lestrange's and dominique weasley's second child. arriving into the world with a dozen different abnormalities, alcott was kept in st. mungo's hospital for observation for two months before he was allowed to go home with his overly jubilant parents. he was a sick child from the start, always catching colds and the like; his older brother used to taunt him, saying that he was some kind of weakling. this early-age teasing ultimately led to alcott developing low self esteem as an adult. still, his parents loved him all the same. he was of course their child and it would have been out of character for alphonse and dominique to dislike or neglect him. in fact, alphonse and dominique were quite good, nurturing parents who doted on their little boy. they absolutely adored him.
as the years went by, alcott outgrew his illnesses and his gangly, short body. he was no longer the weakling of the lestrange's and was now able to get his older brother, the one who had once made fun of him with his friends, into a headlock with ease. there were also two additions to the family, two sisters. at first, alcott disliked the idea of having two more siblings. his brother was a little jerk and if there were two more people making fun of him, he wouldn't know what to do. still, when nicolette and ______ were born, alcott seemed to take a liking to the two new additions. he would always beg his parents to hold his sisters. despite the bigger age gap, alcott and his sisters got on much better than he and his older brother, ______. but like his illnesses, alcott was quick to outgrow his friendship with his sisters.
at about ten years old, alcott began to exhibit aggressive behavior. he would fight with his younger sisters, yell back at his parents, and spend days locked in his room. he turned into a little brat, throwing tantrums here and there whenever he didn't get his way. he no longer got alone with his sisters and in fact, began to admiring his older brother who had just been accepted to hogwarts and sorted into slytherin. he adopted his older brother's brash and arrogant nature and began to copy his brother--the way he dressed, the way he spoke, the way he walked, and the things he said. his brother essentially made alcott the person he is today--arrogant, cunning, shrewd, and selfish.
at the age of eleven, alcott recieved his acceptance letter to hogwarts. overjoyed, alcott was excited to join his older brother and idol in slytherin. when he was sorted, he was not surprised to end up sitting side-by-side with his brother and his friends at the slytherin table. he loved hogwarts, atleast, he loved slytherin. alcott felt like he belonged there. before long, he would become completely absorbed into his fellow slytherins' beliefs. pureblood was the right blood; anything else was simply inferior. this belief continued on throughout his life.
at sixteen, alcott decided that he had to do something. he believed that he was bound for something great. he was attractive, strong, and a great student capable of even the most difficult magics--at least, he thought so. still, alcott was dumbfounded about what he should do with his life and so, he began to search for a goal. he picked up quidditch but decided that he simply did not like it after a bit. it was too monotonous for him and he thought it was 'dumb to throw a couple of god damn balls back and forth and chase one tiny one like an idiot.' he then decided he would be the next great auror, but soon realized he didn't really care for 'combatting the dark arts.'
at the age of twenty, alcott is still searching for what he wants to do with his life. although he has already decided that he is bound for success, he hasn't quite discovered what this 'success' is. still, alcott hangs onto the hope that one day soon, he will fall upon his fate and begun his journey to fame and fortune.

it was safe to say that the bazin siblings had something odd going on between them. they had an overt, lustful tension that would make any room uncomfortable. their fervent bedroom eyes alerted everybody of their true devious ardor for one another. it was clear to everybody--including to themselves. often times, people would tease them for being so in-love with one another, more so than any normal brother and sister duo, but they would brush these comments off. they would claim that it was bullshit and that people were overreacting. their love was familial, platonic, innocent. there was absolutely nothing going on between them. that people were merely projecting their hidden desires onto them--jealous of their unwavering adoration that sprung from chastity. but everybody knew it was true. there was something peculiar going on between them. but at the same time, nobody had the temerity to investigate because everybody knew what they would uncover would be utterly blasphemous. and so, people would tease but nobody would dare to truly take measures to find out what was really going on behind closed doors and in the darkest corners of their mind.

cosme was flabbergasted by anaïs' announcement that she had come to new york to be with him. that she had run away from her overprotective parents who would quickly extradite her as soon as they found out where she was. torn between harboring her like some runaway criminal and sending her back to france, all he knew at the moment was how much he loved her. and one other thing that was certain--the fact that she loved him too. why else would she have come to new york? why else had she answered his beckoning and yearning calls? cosme knew that the inevitable would happen--that their parents would take her away; but he wasn't thinking about that in the moments he spent in the cab. all he wanted was to embrace his sister in his arms for the first time in a year and a half since he left france for sleepless new york city. since the time he decided that he could no longer be under the despotism of pierre and antoinette, his father and mother, who would constantly bombard him with putdowns. he was tired of being reminded on a daily basis that he was a disappointment, a failure, a wash-up, a whatever they decided was the word of the day. he was sick of everything and so he left. he packed his things, kissed his sister on the cheek, and boarded a plane without looking back. he had runaway as well.

the new york traffic was ceaseless and today was no exception. the tourist chatter and the ear-splitting honks were the only things cosme could hear while anaïs and her arrival were the only things cosme could think about. he wasn't sure what he would do when he would pick her up at the midtown hudson hotel--fifty blocks from his lower west side dwelling. it was a fifteen minute cab ride but every minute felt like an hour for cosme as his empty thoughts raced at a million miles a second. he just wanted to see her.

the cab finally swerved to the right, cutting off another car whose driver yelled profanities as it passed by. throwing a twenty dollar bill, cosme slid out of the backseat without hesitation. although the cab was only six dollars, the change was worthless to him. plus, he didn't have the patience to wait for the driver to carefully take out and pluck the money from his wallet. he needed to see his baby sister. now. his stomach was in knots as he nervously looked around. looking. searching. seeking. where was she? his throat became tight and dry and he could barely stand it any longer before he noticed a tall brunette pulling at a rolling luggage case. she looked exactly how she looked when cosme bid her goodbye 479 days ago. he had been counting each and every day they spent apart. "anaïs!" he called out in his deep, lightly accented voice as he lurched forward and towards the door she was exiting out of. "oh, anaïs," cosme vehemently held back tears that longed to roll down his sharp cheeks. the love of his life was back. she was here. tangible. palpable for him. cosme wrapped his strong arms around her and held her close, vowing to never let her go again.
