blood status:
Pureblood

play-by:
Barbara Palvin
hair color:
Light brown
eye color:
Blue
distinguishing features:
She has very clear blue eyes, which often stand out from the rest of her face, and she has a small scar running diagonally across the palm of her right hand.
style: Persephone hates looking scruffy. To her, it's important to look pretty and modern, but presentable and neat at the same time. She thinks that too many people think that if you're all neat and presentable, then you're wearing old garish suits from one hundred years ago. Her style is perhaps smart-casual. She wears dresses and skirts most of the time, but also owns some trousers which she doesn't mind wearing. They vary in length - she has some very short ones, and ones which reach her knees, but none very much below that because she is only eighteen, and doesn't want to look old or too conservative. Her standard shoes are flats as she is already quite tall at 5'9'' but does own some heels because they're pretty and make her feel nice when she wears them. Plus, sometimes she does want to look hot and they do help. She always wears at least one ring on her hands, and sometimes even two. She also has her ears pierced and by default wears pearls in them, although she changed them when she can be bothered.

likes:
music, her flute, her family, herself, chocolate, writing, watching her surroundings, rings, wealth, those with power, laughter, having fun, firewhiskey, winning, the color blue
dislikes:
pureblood pressure, not being sure of herself, the concept of betrothals, flying, orange juice, intense heat, butterbeer, boredom, fear, being powerless, losing
strengths:
observant, analytical, intelligent, determined
weaknesses:
She is utterly confused about the blood elitist views and at times she can be too picky, and too hard on herself. She is also slightly stubborn and hates losing or being upstaged.
fears:
Having to in extreme poverty, with no significant other of family, more or less alone in the World with no power or pull on anything. Also, she is fearful of being forced into a betrothal with a vile man.
dreams:
To find true love and to marry someone who is totally worthy of her, and someone she can love. She doesn't want to be betrothed to anyone, as she doesn't like the whole forced into marriage idea. She wants to be happy in the future, and she wants to finally know where she stands with her blood views. She wants to have power and influence, and she wants to be a somebody: she wants people to know who she is (because they already should, with her being a Flint, according to her)
secrets:
She is very confused about the blood elitist views and the opinions that mudbloods are scum.
personality:
PROUD: Persephone has been brought up to believe that her family are near the top of the pureblood hierarchy, and she has been taught to hold extreme pride in her name and the supposed prestige her parents claim it brings. When she was younger, she didn't quite understand why her father kept on telling her 'you're a Flint,' but she soon caught on. At times her pride can be verging into the egotistical region, but Persephone hold more pride in her family name compared to herself as a person.
CONFUSED: Persephone holds pride in her family and their status and wealth, as she has been taught, but the huge amount of hatred and strong insults targeted at the muggles and halfbloods have always confused her because they don't look like scum. Scum seems rather strong. Below her, perhaps, but why does she need to shun them and treat them like her house elves? Clearly the whole area confuses her.
OBSERVANT: Persephone is an observant girl, and likes to simply look at her surroundings a lot of the time, and she tends to take note of things which others don't see or choose to ignore.
"I think I notice little things others don't see. I notice when someone's hair is sticking up more than usual, and I notice when someone's smile drops for a split second, or if someone doesn't eat their meal but is pretending they are. People have told me I look at things too much, but it's just in my nature, and frankly I think it's good."
OVER-ANALYTICAL: Persephone does look into things people do and say, and often thinks about them even after they have occurred. Sometimes she thinks something has more meaning or significance than it actually does, and this can be a downfall.
"To tie in with my observant nature, I've been told I am very over analytical and read too much into words and actions, as well as just putting too much thought into things. I don't see what the problem is with thinking about things in depth: at least I'm not some airless bimbo and actually have a good brain which I use."
JEALOUS/ANGRY STREAK: "I won't bother denying it: I have a jealous streak and some things just make me feel...angry. Let's take a stereotypical example: if I like a boy, and some other little scrawny girl becomes betrothed to him, or his girlfriend, then how dare she! And for a more fitting example: if someone insults my family name or my family- particularly my siblings - and friends, then I'm sorry but unless you're a very well respected pureblood male, then I'm not going to listen to your crap. Despite what some may believe, I'm not some meek and mild person. I stand up for myself "
VERGING ON BUBBLY: Something very simple yet important: Persephone likes to laugh, and she likes people who can make her laugh. Laughter makes her feel happy, plain and simple, and it isn't too hard to actually make her laugh...which at times can make her seem bubbly. She doesn't show this side of herself to everyone, however, and you usually have to be her friend first or she has to feel comfortable around you.
STUBBORN AND COMPETITIVE/DETERMINED
She does not like to be told that she is wrong, and she hates losing. More than not she will stick to her guns, even if she is aware - in the back of her mind - that she is wrong. She thinks that being proved wrong is a weakness, and she has been brought up to to try and not show weakness, only strength. She is competitive and when she has her eyes set on something, she will try her very best to achieve it.

history:
Persephone was born on a windy November morning and was the third child born to Costas Flint and Ara Goyle, who had been childhood sweethearts and came from well respected pureblood families. Persephone joined her older brother, Lucian, and her older sister ___. Her parents had been hoping for a second son, and therefore were disappointed when Persephone was born, and was a female. However their disappointment did fade and she was brought up in a fairly pampered way: even though she was a girl, and therefore less desirable as she could be no heir, she was the youngest and this held certain sway with her mother in particular. Persephone found out that she had a good hold of her mother's heartstrings and to get something she really wanted, all she had to do was go and ask her mother and put on some wide eyes. Her father was more detached and Persephone has never been very close to him: at times he is cold, and expects the best at all times, which can ultimately be too demanding. Her father is seriously in love with quidditch though, and therefore tried his best to teach Persephone and her siblings how to fly. It never went so well for Persephone: she couldn't keep her balance, fell off, and hurt herself constantly. It wasn't long before she developed a fear of flying which has so far continued to this day.
Persephone has been brought up to believe that muggles and halfbloods are scum and should be cleaning her shoes, or simply not in existence, but she is rather confused on the topic: muggles and halfbloods don't look like scum like the filthy house elves do. Scum seems rather strong. They are below her, but why does she need to shun them and treat them like her house elves? Clearly the whole area confuses her. She hides this confusion from her fellow purebloods however, and keeps up the whole muggle hating cold image. I doubt it will be long before she spills her secret to someone, and she is always worried that someone might realise she isn't the supremacist she is made out to be.
Persephone's time at Hogwarts was not a particularly bad period of her life and surprisingly she never really held a dislike for the place, which is perhaps partly why she's now at University, continuing her education. She was a Slytherin and hung out with her friends from that house, although she had a few friends from other houses as well. However, at Hogwarts she was not publicly associated with muggles, and she didn't talk even openly talk to them, instead displaying great disdain at their very existence. In the background, when alone, she sometimes had bordering on nice conversations with some muggles but kept it all very quiet and she to this day is paranoid someone might see her more than tolerating those who are supposed to be scum, cleaning her shoes. In her fifth year at Hogwarts she was made a prefect, probably due to her good grades and mostly clean record, and she continued this through to her seventh year. Her exam grades were good, although in her latest NEWT exams she only achieved an E in DADA, which her father deemed as unacceptable. She has been taught that perfection is what she should display. Unrealistic, of course.
Romance has never been a very big part of Persephone's life. She has standards, and not many boys meet those standards: she likes them to be from good families, gentlemanly, good looking, not a whore -- why catch an STD -- and actually nice and those are only the basic requirements. Unfortunately for her most of her pureblood Slytherin males at Hogwarts were, in her eyes, too loud and crude and violent to be boyfriend material, not to mention promiscous. Friend material, sure, but she wouldn't go beyond that. In her seventh year she did have a short lived relationship with a pureblood Ravenclaw, which was going well until she discovered that she was not his only girlfriend and he had a secret girlfriend in her Freshman year at the University. That most definitely did not go down too well.

rp example:
Friday night had been simply awful for Victoire Weasley. Not only did she have to sit through a boring few hours in the Detention room in complete and utter silence with the psychotic astronomy teacher watching her every second with his watering, beady eyes, but that Friday had been a full moon and her presence in detention had resulted in her being away from her best friend, Teddy Lupin, as he endured yet another night of excruciating pain in the decaying Shrieking Shack. Victoire and London, her other best friend, always helped Teddy through his pain through the years and she had become accustomed to holding his hand, and soothing him as London, ever the joker, tried to make Teddy laugh and get his mind off the pain. Not even London was with Teddy the night before because he was sitting next to Victoire in the very same annoying detention. It was Victoire’s opinion that they had not even done anything horrifically bad: they had not injured another student or done something malicious – they had simply gone on a little trip to Hogsmeade when technically they weren’t allowed to. It was just a bit of fun. Victoire did have to begrudgingly agree maybe a detention was slightly warranted since they had technically broken the rules, and it was not really a severe form of punishment, but she was angry that it had to take place just when Teddy needed London and her the most.
Normally detentions could be slightly bearable because usually the students were at least able to talk to each other, or could secretly pass notes and the teachers either didn't notice or were relaxed about it. She had hit an unlucky note the night before though. Professor Vance was the astronomy teacher, and Victoire seriously wondered if he was sane in his head. She did not mind if teachers were strict: they were after all there to learn, and she was not one to muck around in lessons, but Vance was on the extreme and didn’t allow any sort if interaction. His classes were like interrogation sessions where the students were like the accused, having to answer question after question, sitting there in fear that they’d be picked on as he named students at random. As soon as Vance had walked into the detention, Victoire had thrown London a dismayed look which she knew he’d be able to decipher as ‘oh merlin, save us now.’
After the detention had ended, Victoire had headed off to her dormitory. She lay in her bed for hours, staring up at the ceiling for hours, hoping Teddy was okay before her mind wandered off onto more pleasant things such as the next good deed the Paper Angels could carry out. Victoire was the leader of the Paper Angels and had been since the beginning of that year: it was a great honour, and her dedication to them was unable to even be measured – it was there in abundance It was thanks to the Paper Angels that her own brother, Louis, was still alive and not buried in some miserable cemetery and it was their kindness which had led to Victoire becoming a member a few years previously. She had a lot on her plate at the moment though, with the 'rumor' hitting her that Voldemort and Salazar Slytherin were back.
Victoire was never one to wake up extremely early if she did not need to do so, and that morning she had awoken at a ridiculous hour: seven in the morning, on a Saturday. Saturday was the one day in the week where a lie in was completely normal. She had tried to get back to sleep, but it was no good: her mind would not drift off again. Finally she managed to drag herself out of bed, changing out of her pyjamas and into some jeans and a loose t-shirt. Since nobody would really be awake at this time, she wasn’t too concerned with dressing up to the nines, but she turned to her mirror anyway and quickly brushed through her wavy long blonde locks, applying a tinge of red lipstick to her plump lips. She sighed, and walked out of her dormitory, wandering down the stairs into the common room before exiting that as well. Her mind could not help but shift back to Teddy, and how he would be this morning. Would he even still be in the shrieking shack? Victoire frowned as she thought about that. She knew he hated the place, so he would hardly stay there any longer than was needed, right?
She wandered through the corridors, deciding to head outside into the ground for a breath of fresh air. Once she was outside, she had a clear view of the surrounding areas and then she spotted a familiar figure sitting by the memorial well. With a grin in her face Victoire entered a light run, approaching the well, a glint entering her eyes as she was Teddy was asleep. She lightened her footsteps, tiptoeing up to him before exclaiming loudly, “Theodore Lupin! Wake up, sleepy head!” in a cheerful voice, flopping down beside him, knowing full well he hated anyone calling him that. “Are you okay? I’m really sorry about last night,Teddy, but you know London and I couldn’t do anything about it – I mean, there was no way we could even sneak out because we had Vance looking over us for hours.” She gave him a smile, and blinked at his familiar appearance. "I would hug you right now, but you know me and dirt don't go so well." She wasn't a girly girl as such, but her vanity did not like dirt to be covering her body. [/font
