"i'm a very simple dresser. a simple skirt and a tee or jeans. i only dress up when it's necessary. i don't really believe in following fashion trends because there are things that're much more important. saying that, i have been known to set trends, which is odd. so i'll wear something completely out of fashion (trying to prove a point) and the next week, everyone will be wearing it. personally i find it a little annoying. i'm not trying to be fashionable, i'm trying to be the complete opposite. when i am needed to dress up though, say for a ball or a dinner, i will really go for it. i mean, come on, i'm a girl. it's what we revel in."

likes:
getting what she wants, being correct, dancing, parties, standing up for herself, standing up for what she believes in, her wand, charms, dreams, literal thinking, having a lot of family, letting her hair down, alcohol, studying, being top of the class, adrenaline, winning, athletics, exercise.
dislikes:
her veela blood, fashion, the effect she has on people, getting muddy, animals, her allegies, bad smells, people who think it's okay to fart or burp in public, bad manners, bertie bott's every flavour beans, not understanding something, being forced to do something, not being taken seriously.
strengths:
charms, hexes, academic thinking, manipulating people, determination, ambition, witty, making things what they're not, charming personality, appearance.
weaknesses:
hot tempered, snobby, big headed, looks down on a lot of people, judges people, people skills, easily jealous, takes a while to open up, very serious.
fears:
coming in contact with animals in case it sets off her allergies really badly, being in hospital, actually being outcasted, never being close to anyone, not achieving anything, not being taken seriously because of her looks.
dreams:
to become ministress of magic, receive good grades, for someone to find a cure for her allergies, learn to calm her temper.
secrets:
"i can actually let my hair down when it comes to partying. i'm just scared to. i don't want to do anything i'll regret. i'd love to get close to someone as well, but i wouldn't dare show it. what if people see it as a weakness? i'm fed up of being the 'cute little lupin girl with the good looks'! anyway, my other secret is my phobia of animals. it's not a phobia; i just pretend it is. i have such fatal allergies i can't cope. i'd love to be able to have an owl or a cat, even a toad! but it's impossible."
personality:
"you're pretty stupid if you haven't got enough information already, aren't you? well, i'm a ravenclaw and i like to believe i hold up what a ravenclaw should be. yes, i'm intelligent. i love being the top of the class! who wouldn't? it gives me true recognition. when it comes to belief debates i always have the witty comebacks that can win and i'm incredibly stubborn so wont give in until i have. the sorting hat was considering slytherin, but i was so afraid of being that much of an outcast from my family it chose ravenclaw. i feel i fit into ravenclaw more. but apparently my determined mind and ambitious thoughts were extremely slytherin and well, i don't disagree. underneath, family is more important to me. i won't let them know that though. imagine what they'd say! 'we've been right all along'. eurgh. yes, i'm the type of person who would use the 'i-told-you-so' attitude but i hate it being used against me. i'm easily pissed off, is that obvious? i guess so. but that'd possibly the veela coming out in me. i still have some of my great-great-grandmothers traits. the looks and the temperament. i really dislike the looks actually; people don't seem to be able to take me seriously. can you imagine if i do become ministress? half the population would only vote for me because they think i'm 'hot'. great. i couldn't live with that. i hope you think i'm slowly warming to you. it takes me a while to open up but i get there, you know. i get really jealous of people who have amazing people skills. i don't understand how they do it! in fact, i get jealous quite a lot. i have quite an envious personality, say, if someone gets a higher mark on a paper than me. i know, it's pretty shallow. sorry."

parents:
ted lupin and victoire weasley.
siblings:
two older brothers, both gryffindor, a junior and a senior.
others:
all the potters and weasleys.
history:
marcèlle nymphadora lupin was born a healthy, petite, but healthy young girl to ted and victoire lupin. she was the three child and final instalment to the lupin family. victoire always wanted a girl and finally she got her wish. marcèlle immediately received the nickname 'mara' because it was a lot easier for her older brothers to say as they were learning to talk. as her mother, grandmother and great-grandmother before her; mara inherited veela blood. it was obvious as soon as she was born, her pale, flawless skin and icy blue eyes made it obvious. she definitely took after her mothers side of the family. from the first moment she was held by her mother and father, they vowed they'd spoil her rotten. who wouldn't want to do that to their little princess? as soon as they got home with mara she began to turn blue. panicking, they took her back to st mungos and they diagnosed the problem as fatal allergies... to animals. they had a family pet dog, so he would have to go and the house was rid of any traces of hair.
growing up, mara appeared to be on a totally different wavelength to her brothers. she would be seen sitting in a field picking daisies for a headband while her brothers were running around. normal girl behaviour you'd say? that's true. until the boys decided to climb trees; suddenly mara would become the boss and treat it like a military operation. she was always so frightened of them getting hurt. many-a-time before she turned six would she have broken her brothers fall from a tree from fear of them hurting themselves. this seemed to make her a very stressed child and she always appeared outwardly serious and it always seemed impossible to make her simple with a simple joke. she appreciated the effort even if she didn't let you know but she just never found them funny. she'd often be on her own dreaming about when she grew up but she longed to be able to talk to her brothers like they talked to each other. even when they tried their hardest, she just couldn't bring herself to talk. she was always responsible, even from such a young age but on the odd occasion, she'd suddenly let her hair down. when it did happen, everyone was pretty gob smacked but then she'd go back to her usual self the next morning. victoire worried that her only daughter would become a recluse; luckily, ted was always a calming influence on her and assured her that she's grow out of it.
the worst two years for mara were when her two brothers left for hogwarts and she was alone at home. she liked it because she could always do her muggle homework in peace though she was always forced out of her bedroom and down to the dinner table. even at such a young age she showed a huge amount of independence and determination to do what she wanted. she would constantly ask when her hogwarts letter would arrive so this gave her parents a little hope that she would fit in more in the wizarding world. she wasn't really shy, just observant. she wouldn't have any trouble talking to someone, but actually knowing them is different. anyway, another year past and mara received her letter from hogwarts. it wasn't much of a shock as she'd spent her childhood protecting her brothers from broken arms. the family did their annual diagon alley trip and bought her all the necessary equipment, being careful to stay away from the pet shop. this always annoyed mara, she wasn't allowed to have a pet because of her stupid allergies but, no one was to know that when she got to hogwarts. she would simply say that she despised them and refused to have a pet crawling over her homework.
mara didn't find it that difficult to find people to sit with on the train there. in fact, she sat with her eldest brother who was now in his third year, for some reason she'd always liked him more. maybe her jealous streak didn't agree with her other brothers metamorphic abilities. her eldest brother soon found some people her age for her to stick with and go across the lake in the same boat. she found them quite easy to speak to, which she found surprising. they were feel the way she felt so they had plenty to talk about. all wondering what house they were going to be in, it was the most excited mara has probably ever felt. her name was called out and she floated up the steps. she remembers to this day the mental argument with the sorting hat. it was determined to put her in slytherin, what would her parents say to that and her brothers for that matter! as they were both in gryffindor, they'd hate her. no, she wasn't having it. luckily, mara showed many traits of a ravenclaw and that's where she was happily placed.
as ravenclaws should, mara worked incredibly hard at school and was often the top of the class when it came to assessment marks. if she wasn't she'd simply be angry with herself. her parent's seemed to calm down as she fit in a lot better and seemed to have a group of friends. all be it, she was still very snobby when it came to her being the best, but she was also quite the talker when it came to general chit chat. she was happy and that's what her parents wanted. she seemed to settle like she never had back at home.
a few years past and it wasn't until her fifth year she knew what she wanted to do with her education. she hadn't told anyone, that was until she went into her careers advice meeting. her head of house nearly fell off his chair when she announced she wanted to be the ministress of magic. but he was very encouraging after the initial shock. with mara's determined personality and intelligent mind there was no doubt she could do it. the same year she was given the position of prefect. she was over the moon with the extra power she was given. she continued through school achieving O's in all but one of her OWLs and all of her NEWTS before moving on to university where she applied to study wizarding politics and economics and was accepted.
she worked hard in her first year, just as she had always done. however, she also found herself partying hard. she'd wake up regretting it but she couldn't fool herself into thinking it wasn't fun and she didn't want to do it again. she tried to keep herself under control but she loves being able to let her hair down occasionally (much to the general shock of everyone else). now in her second year and a sophomore, mara is pretty much the same as she always was. she still works hard, still gets jealous, still see's herself as above people and still lies about her allergies. she's opening up slowly though. there's still time yet.

rp example:
wet. one word to describe the weather in forks on the fourth of february two thousand and six. it was absolutely slinging it down to be perfectly honest. the droplets being the size of small stationary erasers soaked anyone coming into contact as soon as they stepped into the wild outside. it was one of those days that a lot of girls hated because "their hair will get wet" . it was true. their curls would drop or their perfectly straightened hair would become frizzy. not so great to the other people who had to listen to the whining all day. but whatever, it was another day at forks high school.
fleur woke quite normally that morning. her eyelids slid open over her deep gray, almost brown eyes. she grumbled groggily and sat up slowly. "great ... school." she muttered to herself and swung her bare feet out of her bed and push herself up. still half asleep, she threw herself into the shower. she always needed a shower in a morning to wake her up. there was frankly no other way. what? she was a teenagers. everyone knows teenagers need a lot of sleep right? and getting up for school wasnt the greatest way to get it. todays shower was particulally cold. the heater had been cut off. being at the edge of town the erins residence was getting its energy cut off all the time, so really it wasnt anything new to fleur and she thought nothing of it.
grabbing a towel and wrapping it around her she moved back into her bedroom and walked over to her wardrobe and pulled out some clothes randomly. after drying off and pulling some underwear on she slid the abercrombie and fitch, sunny yellow polo shirt over her wet hair and slid into some faded blue skinny jeans. checking herself briefly in the full-length mirror she shrugged and moved over to her dressing table and picked up her hair dryer. flicking the switch expectantly and pointing it at her head she heard no noise and no warm air blowing on her scalp. "urgh." the electricity had been cut off all together ... great, just great. rolling her eyes, fleur decided that it didnt matter anyway, because it would simply get wet again. so, giving up, she pulled some socks on and skipped down the stairs without applying any make-up.
moving on into the kitchen she saw her mother already eating some cereal. "hola madre." fleur greeted brightly and kiss her mother on the cheek. "hola querido" she returned and went back to her cereal and reading a large paper in front of her. following her lead, fleur grabbed a bowl and spoon then strolled to the table and poured some frosties and milk and began to munch. the paper wasn't exactly exciting. but fleur wasn't interested in the happenings of the world. it wasn't her thing.
finally finishing she picked up her dirty pots and placed them gently into the sink. "hasta luego!" she called to her mother back in the kitchen as she grabbed a leather bomber jacket with a hood and pulled it around herself and fitted some high-ankled trainers, slung her bag over her shoulder and left the house, shutting the door behind her.
the cold hit her at once. a shiver ran down her spine and she pulled her hood up over her deep brown hair and slid her hand into the shallow pockects of her coat. it helped a little. but it was still pretty chilly. she had a long walk to school aswell. but she took it at a pretty quick power-walk.
the wind whooshed around her ears as she arrived in the school's carpark. it was picking up rough. she was sure she hadn't heard it on the weather. not that fleur was really listening last night when it was on. she was texting jacob. and that pretty much took up her mind. fleur jogged across the carpark and into the main entrance. not acknowledging the office staff she wandered straight through to the locker hallway and opened her locker with her usual code.
