play-by:
teresa palmer
hair color:
blond
eye color:
blue
distinguishing features:
Mac's eyes would definitely make for a distinguishing features, they're a very bright color and they smile along with her during one of those rare times that she actually feels like smiling. Other features are the ones that she applied to herself at one point or another, or rather, let someone apply to her. THIS tattoo goes along her back. THIS ONE where it is in the picture. THIS she has on her other hip. Another would be the various scars that she has along her body. One above her eyebrow, a longer one across her side, most are just from playing rough with the guys or playing quidditch.
style:
This blond has a very simple style, she loves plain blue jeans, a few rips are actually a plus to her. She loves loosefitted tshirts, leather jackets and the colors are usually just grey, white and black. She loves to wear halfgloves for some reason, probably because it fits with her biker look. She's definitely not a girly girl and tends to dislike those that are. She's very low maintenance, doesn't really care how her hair looks, doesn't wear makeup. She gets up in the morning, runs her hands through her hair and she's done for the day.

There is a part of her that wants to be normal, or at least be in control of who she is, or rather, what she is. She's thinking about becoming a Healer, that would probably be considered her dream right now.
secrets:
Mackenzie is a very honest person and she doesn't really like to keep secrets, if she had to pick something, her feelings would probably be a secret. As much as she wants to be honest, she doesn't really like to share her thoughts and feelings with others, she tends to keep that to herself. Something that people don't really know is that Mac is sometimes afraid of herself, afraid that she might lose control, kill someone even.
personality:
- - - DEVOTED
There are not a lot of things that Mac cares about, there are not a lot of things that she wants to make an effort for, but when she does feel like something is worth the effort and time she will put that into it. Her education is one of the few things that she cares about more than anything and she is very devoted to it. There is nothing that she wouldn't do when she is ordered to do something and she's very devoted to doing anything that her job or her class requires her to do. When she has to go somewhere or do something for a class, she will ignore even her fear of flying and go where she has to go. This devotion shows not only in her education but also in her love towards her dog and in her loyalty to her very slim number of friends. She doesn't like to let people that she loves down and she doesn't love that many people so when she does let them down, she feels horrible.
- - - RUDE
Mac has some trouble placing herself in another person's shoes, she doesn't really think about how a comment that she makes might hurt someone else. She doesn't really think that people just deserve her respect, it's something that everyone has to earn and most people aren't able to earn it. Especially when she's trying to do her job or just trying to go her own way, when someone gets in her way she will not hesitate and think how her comments might hit a person. She's also not the kind of person that says please or thank you, mostly because she just feels like people should do what they want to do and if they want to help her that's just not something that she should thank them for because they decided to do so. And if they don't help her she'll shrug and do it herself, that's what she prefers any way. It's not that she wasn't raised to have manners, she's just sort of discarded them along the way.
- - - HARDWORKER
She's a very hardworker because she's so devoted to what she does, she might not seem like a standard Hufflepuff student, but this is one of the reason she was placed there anyway. She believes in earning things and not just getting them handed to her, she's willing to work very hard for what she wants and she doesn't mind going through hoops and over mountains to get there. Right now she has her mind set on being a Healer, though that could change later on, and she wants to get there and nothing's going to stop her from doing that. Her hardworking nature can go a bit overboard, where she doesn't really care about anything but a certain project or assignment, but mostly she can keep it under control.
- - - SPITEFUL
If there is one thing that Mac has a lot of trouble with, it's forgiveness. She still hates humans for what they did to her mother and she will never forgive them for it. Once you cross a line with her there is just not way in hell that you are ever going to get back on her good side. When someone does something to her that hurt her in any way shape of form, or anything or anyone that she cares about, she will hunt for revenge. And it doesn't even have to something big, she doesn't like to be messed with and with all her fight training and the guns and knifes that she always has on her, she is not someone that anyone should want to mess with. It can go from someone looking at her weird to someone hurting someone she loves, she's a spiteful person. It might not be the Hufflepuff friendly way, but no one's perfect.
- - - FAIR
The spiteful and rude behavior might be strange for a Huffle, but Mackenzie makes up for it by being a hardworker, having a strong sense of devoting and also because she plays fair. Breaking the rules sounds like fun, and she does it at times, but she knows that actions of consequences and that's only fair. She believes in karma and that good things will come to good people, and that bad things will come to bad people. Taking matter into her own hands might be her way to go at times, but she tries not to create judgementday all on her own. She tries to keep an open mind about people, tries not to judge people by the way that they look, the judging mostly comes after she knows them for a while. She might be rude and spiteful, but at least she's a fair player.
- - - BRAVE
There is a very fine line between brave and completely reckless and Mac just loves to dance along that line and not pick a side for which one that she likes more. There is nothing that she wouldn't do when it comes to getting what she wants, there is no risk that she wouldn't take, no river that she wouldn't cross if it would mean that she could save the kid that she was send out to save. Mac also loves to do things that others might think are scary, one of her big loves is her motorcycle and she loves him more than nearly anything and that is something that does take some guts, especially how Mac rides it. Along with her motorcycle adventures there are her quidditch adventures, she doesn't mind throwing herself into the deep end of the pit, she doesn't mind risking herself for the team. It all makes her brave, or reckless, depending on how you want to view it.

history:
Unlike the other D'eath children, Mackenzie actually had a rather nice and calm childhood, she was with her mother her entire life and was just raised like any other child. The start of her life is the same as the start of that of her siblings, her father, Axel, seduced her mother and knocked her up. Then he left, much like he had already done two times before with the women that got pregnant with Mac's two older brothers. Even though it seemed rather silly, Antoinette was happy with the pregnancy and she barely cared about the fact that Axel had only used her to set another part vampire child onto the world. Before meeting her part vampire lover, the woman had been alone, she had been a successful photographer for the daily prophet, had seen the world and everything that it had to offer, but she had never gotten what she actually wanted; a family of her own. It might not have gone the way that she had always imagined it, but she was getting what she wanted, she was creating life. The life that she was creating would bring quite the challenge, little is known about part vampire children, but Antoinette was determined to be a great mother for the baby and give it everything that it needed. Mackenzie came into the world like every child before had done, she cried like every child had done before her, in so many ways she was just another baby, another little miracle bringing joy into her mother's world. It wasn't until a few days later, when Mackenzie decided to pierce the nurse's finger with one of her vampire teeth that everyone realized that this was indeed quite the challenge. Most people would have been scared out of their panties, but Antoinette had seen much worse than a little part vampire baby and this was her little part vampire baby, there was no way that she was going to abandon her.
Mackenzie was a silent and calm child for the first years of her life, which of course made people think that she was plotting someone's death. Her mother freaked several people out by handing Mackenzie a bottle of blood whenever she walked up to her mom and told her that she was hungry. Being part vampire was something that her mother never hid from her, it was something that had learned to live with every since she could think for herself. As the little blond girl grew older she started to get a little more energetic, started to get herself into trouble when she felt like it. She never objected to punishment when she got it because she had gotten herself in trouble because she knew what she had done and acknowledged that it was a bad thing to do, but it didn't make getting herself into trouble any less fun. When she was about nine she started to get a fascination for quidditch, she loved the excitement, the rush, she loved throwing herself into a pile of people and win the game, she loved throwing herself in front of a bludger just to keep it away from someone else.
The fact that she was part vampire never troubled her, she was always fine with it because it never got her way. That ended when she went to Hogwarts. Her mother had known that she wasn't the only one that had had a child with Axel, so giving Mackenzie his last name was a way of making it easy for her to maybe track down her halfsiblings. At Hogwarts she found her siblings, two brothers and a sister, it was weird to think that she had siblings that she had never even heard about. But that wasn't the only shock that came with being at Hogwarts. There were so many people there, more than she could have ever thought could be in one place at the same time. Mackenzie had had a nice childhood, but it had always been rather sheltered, this was something else entirely. When she was thirteen, something went wrong. She was in detention with another student when she lost it, nearly attacked the other student after losing control over herself. She was almost expelled after that, her mother was informed and she tried to defend her daughter the best that she could. Eventually, Mackenzie stayed, but she had to feed more often, had to keep herself under control. Since then, Mac has been much more hesitant around people, she hides it with sarcasm and acting like she's just rude.
By now she's still studying, right now her mind is set on being a Healer, because she wants to help people instead of hurt them, of course she realizes that it's quite the challenge, but she's convinced that she can do it. Especially after her mother got sick the year before, Mackenzie's even more determined to become a Healer, even if it's just to find out what's wrong with her mother and to rescue her before it's too late.

rp example:
It was difficult to not wonder about what could have happened if things had gone entirely different. There were a lot of things that could have changed the course of the years before and a great deal had to do with the fact that she had gotten involved with a certain blond male that had really gotten to her. It was still true that she was over him, and that she didn't miss him. Most girls would be lying about that because they still loved that one guy, but for Rose it was true in every way possible. She didn't long to have Asher back in her life, she didn't need him back, nor did she long to have just the idea of him back. But she was still hurt because of everything that had happened. She had let someone get very close to her, someone that her entire family did not agree with one bit. Rose had sacrificed a lot, Nikolai was actually quite a good example of that, and she had taken a lot of crap from her friends and family just so that she could be with Asher. Her fourth year had been with a lot of ups and downs just because of this one boy and now that she was grown another year older she was starting to wonder if it had been worth it, if it could have been different. It was useless to think about it of course because nothing could be changed. But she knew that if the entire Asher thing hadn't happened, then this moment between her and Nikolai would have been very different, it wouldn't have felt like she was doing something wrong. Then again if the whole Asher thing hadn't happened maybe her and Niko would have. But that was assuming that he felt the same, and she highly doubted that was true.
This was something that she had most certainly not missed over the summer; trying to avoid how she felt about Nikolai. There was a reason why she stayed away from him, why she had always tried to not get too close; because she wasn't sure of what she would do if they did get too close. "As am I," she replied in a mere whisper. She didn't really believe that Nikolai was like Asher, she didn't believe that he really agreed with half of the things that his socalled best friend did. There was something so honest and sincere in those deep green eyes of his and she could see it every single time their eyes met. It was something that she had always missed in Asher's eyes. Sure, he went against his father sometimes and he might nog agree with him all the time, but when push came to shove he would fall under his command. Rose didn't know why, but, she just knew that Nikolai was so different.
But that didn't mean that she was allowed to let him get this close to her, though, knowing that she wasn't allowed did not make it any easier for her to move away from him and she still stood there with her hands resting on his shoulders. If someone were to see them there it would be around the castle and back faster than a golden snitch. If someone were to see them together, standing so close with their arms around each other, it would known to her entire family before she would even be able to pull away from Nikolai at this point. Rose knew all of this, she knew that this was wrong, that she should not let him get this close, that her family would really not let her hear the end of it and that they would not agree with her just standing this close to him. But there was something about him and that was something that she just couldn't pull away from. It was unlike anything that she had ever felt. Of course there had been some major chemistry between her and Asher but this, this was something else entirely and she didn't quite know how to handle it. Actually, she knew how to handle it, she should just avoid him completely and then it would be handled. But she just didn't know how to avoid him because she kept wanting to see him. It was what she waited for in class and in the great hall; she waited to see him there.
Without thinking about it, Rose moved her hands slightly. One moved to rest against the back of his neck as she other rested against the side of his face. A shaky exhale left between her slightly parted lips as she watched her fingers move against his cheek and gently down his jaw. Her head was practically screaming at her to get a grip on herself and stop this immediately. But her body, and her heart, had other ideas entirely; she did not want to go anywhere. She had never noticed just how perfect his features were and now that she knew she just wanted to keep watching him. Though within a few seconds she realized that she was staring and she cleared her throat softly, turning her eyes away from his face as a faded pink shade moved over her cheeks. This was not like her at all, but he made her very nervous.
It was difficult to not wonder about what could have happened if things had gone entirely different. There were a lot of things that could have changed the course of the years before and a great deal had to do with the fact that she had gotten involved with a certain blond male that had really gotten to her.
