Things felt like they were moving faster with classes, with her other friends; everything was speeding up. She found herself in the middle of a relationship with an absolutely guy, who was completely gorgeous, and romantic to boot. She couldn't believe that she was dating mason aesalon, of all people. Not only was he a great person, but he just... understood her. They both understood that the other had been heartbroken before, and promised not to get too far in with each other, so not to break each other's heart. It was a mustal understanding that kept both of them from being hurt or hurting the other. However, mason was still the first person adele had been with since her first and last boyfriend in sixth year. He was a bit like chance in his undeniable charm and good looks, but his soul was so much purer. With chance, things were different. Adele always felt the need to prove herself to him. It was as if she was never good enough for him. That was why she gave in so easily when he asked her to sleep with him. With mason, they were both sure of who they were, and who the other was as well. It made things a bit easier, and adele didn't quite feel the need to impress him. She obviously did something right if mason was still with her and all. He was notorious for sleeping around. So the fact that he was still with her and was faithful meant something. And if he broke up with her, she wouldn't be ad... devastated, would she? She was confident enough in herself... wasn't she? Not to say she wouldn't be upset. She would. She was fond of mason. But it wouldn't be as completely broken as she was before. It was... different with him. And even if things did end, she had amazing friends to fall back on. Adele's best friend in the entire world was easily her sister Evangeline. She and Evie had been close since birth, really, once their mothers both accepted the fact that james potter was a silly little nit and had no feelings. Evie was giving everything up to take care of their ailing father, and adele did not like that in the slightest. of all the people to be taking care of the beast, it should not have been evie. not that it should have been adele, or kelly or jessie ir really any of the girls, but she would not wish it on... anyone. just not evie. at least adele had jessie to share the awkwarness of no father with. but evie just had her mum. of course, she had adele and jessise as half sisters, and they were treated like full sisters, and their mothers thought of them as such... but it still shouldn't have been evie. adele thought far tooo much about the matter, but she couldn't help feeling like she might lose her best friend if she said anything. but evie was not her only best friend, of course. she had a circle of good friends that she loved as her own family. arya (as well as twelve- adrienne was a bitch to adele) wallece was a fellow artist, and she was just the cutrst thing ever. adele got over the multiple personality thing within a week or two of being friends with her. the main personality was like her baby sister. she was extremely protective of arya. the same went for twelve. it was adrienne that hated adele, and tended to sass her. adele usually dealt with it by ignoring her, but that didn't always work. usually though, it did. of course, she had her best best friend katarina carrow, who had been a little less happy as of late. adele understood, of course. how could she not? she'd lost her twin sister in a car crash. but they were still best friends, and adele never loved her any less. and then there was nate. best friend nate mcglaggen. of all the guys in her life, nate had been the one who neverfailed her, never let her down. she knew she couls always count on nate to make her dau better. he was a sweetheart, and the best listener. she loved him with all her hreart. there had been times that made adele wonder what could happen with them, if she only made a move. but nothing was going to happen. for one, she needed him tpp badly to even think about losing him, and on top of that, she had a boyfriend. mason. oh mason... but today was not a day for mason, or evie or arya and twelve. today was a day for nate. once a weekm depending on their schedules with school and classes and homework, they always met in the cafe, brought their own picknic and just... talked. it was a nice tradition they started back in hogwarts, and there was no stoppiing it now. it was part of her routine now. a week without her nate date was like a christmas eve without sno. unless, of course, the both of them were swamped with schoolwork. then it was understood. today was no exception. she finished her three papers that were due already, and had time to spare. it wad her turn to pack thw picknic, and she had everything set up. from her famous raspberry vinegrett dressing salad to the cookies she prepared for the two of them special, she was ready for this. when she got dressed, it took her a little longer. it wasn't as if she had to necessarily dress up for nate, or impress him, but she liked looking her best when she was with him. she played with her hair for a while, before deciding to curl only the ends of it, rather than the entire thing like she usually did. it wasn't as if nate would care, but she did. the whole process was taking far longer than usual. nate had better appreciate this. but by the time she was ready, she eas simple on time rather than early. adele walked down to the cafe, inwardly smirking at the name of the place. it was less a cafe and more of a small park or picknick area. all the girls around seemed to use the space as their personal tanning space. well, to each their own. as long as they didn't disturb her lunch date. setting everything up on their usual table, adele adjusted her skirt, followed by her hair, and then sat down, opening the book she was currently reading while she waited for her guest of honor to arrive. yay thread |
