ryder wasn't exactly nervous, though he totally was he just wasn't admitting it to himself, as he watched the graduation unravel before him. ryder was simply never nervous. he could feel the little box in his box burning a hole through the dark pants he wore. it was just jessie. it was just jessie, his mind kept yelling at him. but ya see that was exactly what made him so nervous, that was not the right word. he tried to think back to words that he would tell his beautiful girlfriend when he got down on one knee, the thoughts were shaken completely from his mind as jessie was called on the front to accept her diploma. looking just as radiant and as beautiful as ever, ryder watched her his heart jumping with every step she took. every once in a while he thought he would catch her eye but he knew that was highly unlikely. the crowd of people wouldn't let that happen. ryder's leg started to shake from under him. he was never nervous and he was nervous and he knew it. as soon as graduation was over, ryder stood from his seat, it was quite difficult to move over to where jessie's family stood. though it wasn't hard to locate the potters as they were quite a big family, it was harder to finally get jessie alone. after all she was the main event of the entire thing. ryder's heart was in his ear as their fingers were entwined. the ceremony of graduation was held at the university, it wasn't for funding purposes but for closure. ryder found it oddly comforting.
slowly and rather silently the twenty three, almost twenty four, year old made his way through his university. remembering the time that maverick had blown up that hallway, or the time he had been caught with that girl in the other. not to mention alexander who if ryder was correct had found out that benjamin was his child in courtyard though he wasn't sure. "it's nice walking through the halls," he whispered, looking down at his little werewolf. he thought about everything they had been through and all the obstacles they had over come and through it all ryder couldn't help but think how he would jump through ten million hoops if it meant getting to jessie. he'd been dating her for a year and a half or ever more. ryder didn't keep dates, to him it felt like a lifetime because every moment with jessie was precious to him. "i wanted to show you something, but not at the school,"
