it was beyond him why he couldn't simply do what he always did -- why he couldn't just get what he really wanted from adalynn, and then move along to the next girl. that's what quinn harper was good at -- it was expected from him. but he couldn't do that this time, and he hated that. he felt trapped in something that he had never had to deal with before, but against his better judgment he surprisingly enjoyed it. despite what he wanted to do, quinn got out of bed and walked over to his closet. his roommates were out for the weekend, so at the moment he had the room entirely to himself. normally, quinn would have had girls over; but today was anything but normal. it wasn't like he didn't have anyone coming over, though -- he had sent aria an owl the night before, and aria was the last person that would stand him up. as far as he was concerned, she was one of the closest friends that he had. their friendship was a bit odd compared to most, but it was sufficient enough for them. as he heard a knock at the door, quinn pulled on a button-up shirt, leaving his chest fully exposed. it was aria, afterall; it wasn't as if she hadn't seen it all before. pulling the door open, a small smile pulled at the corners of his lips. "hey, gorgeous. come on in." quinn moved away from the door, sitting on his bed and reaching for the half-empty bottle of firewhiskey on the nightstand. picking up his wand from the bed, he waved over two shot glasses from the cabinet and filled them up, glancing towards her with a half-grin. "care for a drink? i know it's early, but-" quinn shrugged, unable to finish that sentence. he really didn't have a reason for drinking so early, but aria was typically the last person he would expect to judge him for that.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=style, background-image:url(http://i54.tinypic.com/2vafwqd.jpg), border: solid #ffffff 5px; width: 400px; height: 500px;] Aria's mind was running amuck, she honestly didn't know how she got herself into some of the situations she did. for the most part she was as good at getting out of them as she was at getting into them, but not in this case. in this particular case Aria was in way over her head and she didn't quite know what to do about it. anyone that knew Aria knew she didn't spend much time at all thinking about just one guy, unless you counted Lucian which she didn't. Lucian was her brother, he was a special case for Aria. the two were tight and naturally she concerned herself with his well being so he was on her mind a good amount of time. what was meant was that Aria didn't spend any long amount of time thinking about that one special guy. she just didn't think he was out there for her. she had met a lot of special guys over the years, more then most girls for that matter, but none of them would ever be considered 'the one' for her. her life motto was all about having fun and given that she was young she figured she had every right too. Corvin just had to go and screw that up though. ugh. now generally Aria thought a good deal about her male friends, she was after all thankful for each and every one of them. she honestly didn't know where she'd be without the likes of Quinton Harper, Benedikt Perlin and Corvin Lestrange. she just couldn't picture her life without them.
sure she had an unusual sort of relationship with each of them, but nothing had ever affected their friendship until last week. she had slept with Quinton a number amount of times and Benedikt was often the single object of her deepest fantasies but she never looked at Corvin as anything more then a friend. Aria hadn't thought sleeping with him would change anything, after all she slept with Quinton and they were still extremely tight. yet it changed everything. she couldn't even be in the same corridor as Corvin without feeling all jittery and practically running the other way. this was uncharacteristic for Aria and to be quite honest she hated it. she just didn't know what to do with herself or even how to handle this situation. so she was thankful for the distraction from her thoughts when she had received the owl from Quinton late last night. it wasn't unusual for him to owl her at such a time, since he knew she was probably awake. no matter what went on between them, Quinton was always first and foremost her best friend. dressed in a short pair of black shorts that held the Ravenclaw house crest on the bottom left corner, with a blue tee shirt that had a scoop neck rather then her usual v-neck that she preferred. her hair was done and was in a rather messy state, the strands lost some where between being straight and being a curl, but oddly enough she pulled it off quite nicely. raising her hand to knock on the door, she smiled when her best friend answered. "hey there yourself sexy." she replied as she entered his room, closing the door behind her. sitting down upon the bed next to him and draping her legs over his she nodded her head at his offer for a drink. it may have been early but this day called for it. "its five o clock somewhere right?" the brunette laughed. leaning forward she pressed her lips to the curve of his neck then whispered in his ear, "was there a pressing matter for me to come today or did you just miss me?" placing her hands behind her she leaned back and smirked at him.
