[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=style, background-image:url(http://i56.tinypic.com/2zgu9hc.jpg); width: 440px; padding-top:10px;] a heart like mine ---* since evie was studying medicine in university, it would only be natural that she would always be in the hospital wing. while she was shooting more to working at st. mungo's, the hospital wing at the university would have to do for now. the nurses were very calm and knew what to do. evie had only had practice on smaller creatures. she hadn't yet had a chance to do it to any wizard or witch yet. since her father had fallen ill, evie had taken on the responsibility of taking care of him. she had never been forced to but she felt that if one of the potters had to do it that she would. she didn't want any of her siblings to have taken the fall. luckily evie got back into the university and was now studying. she was still falling behind at times but she tried to quickly catch on. no one said that it would be easy becoming a healer. evie had worked especially hard at hogwarts to make sure her grades were at the top. at the hospital wing, evie mostly saw students from quidditch games or something had gone wrong with a potions class. she would watch as the medical staff worked. each very detailed and focused on the wounds. evie tried not to be an intrusion on what was happening and instead she would stand there quietly. it wasn't required for students studying medicine to do this but evie felt like she needed it. it was a good advantage but evie wasn't trying to sabotage any of her other students. she was sure that this was what she wanted to do. she had only tended to her father who could hardly be called a patient. his only demands were fluffier pillows and a dish of some sort. she had gained a lot of patience after spending so much time with james potter. evie pulled at her black hair that was tied into a ponytail. while her siblings acquired james potter's brown locks, evie had her grandfather's locks. it wasn't as messy but she had some waves to it. what an annoyance to straighten it every morning but today it was tied in a ponytail. she was wearing a grey off-the-shoulder t-shirt and skinny jeans. evie walked along the hospital wing wearing a pair of black flats. she had seen a couple of patients today. mostly freshmen who had been trying some new potions that had backfired. it had something that evie saw all the time. university work was a lot tougher than hogwarts. hogwarts was simple work that could easily be reversed, university took a little more time and care to mend anything. evie stopped seeing someone she recognized. ryan? she couldn't remember his first name but he was in the same year as her. same house too. they hadn't gotten the chance to speak to one another. he had quite the weird accent too, american if she was correct. she looked at him guessing that it was from quidditch. evie had played quidditch in her sixth year. being a fourth werewolf meant some of her skills were heightened. her vision and reaction time was very swift. she had quit in seventh year due to her studies getting in the way. how she missed quidditch. it had been fun to be part of a team and to play something that didn't require her to use her brain. there was too much studying now. quidditch was a good way to let loose and have fun. evie would occasionally watch the quidditch the games when she was able to. even if she couldn't play, it didn't mean that she couldn't watch. evie sat on the bed next to where he was. she smiled at him sweetly. "quidditch?" she asked arching one of her eyebrows. she saw that he had already been taken care of and evie was only there to chill now. it had to get a little lonely when everyone else was hanging out and you were stuck in the hospital wing by yourself. evie was only there to entertain them till they got out. she thought that she was friendly girl. while the tattoos on her body would beg to differ, they didn't define who she was. she was actually a sweet girl who wasn't tough at all. actually a little weakling. evie didn't know what to expect whenever she spoke to a random patient. some were open to talking to her while others were a little freaked out that she would even speak to them. evie didn't care though once they were out of there, she wouldn't have to speak to them again. evie actually thought that she was doing them a favor whenever she went up to someone to talk to them. if they'd rather be in there and stare at the ceiling, evie would leave them to do so. "i'm evangeline by the way. well evie please." oh how she hated how she had been named after her grandmother. the name was too long. her father had no say in naming her but she wished he had. anything would have been better or at least shorter. "i've seen you before. ravenclaw and junior right?" evie wasn't very popular in the social scene but she was aware of what students were in her house and year. she wasn't totally oblivious to everything going on around her. she was a little quieter when it came to being in crowds but that just meant that she was a good listener. she knew what was happening. she wasn't a gossip girl but she heard rumors swirling around. tag: ryan hawthorne word count: 941 lyric credit: miranda lambert notes: hope it's okay? |
