rules of rtb
signing up
- please do not sign up if you are not over the age of thirteen. this is not our rule per say, but proboards themselves. so let's have some respect, alright?
- once signed up, the first thing that should be done is changing your username to your characters first, middle and last name. however, the middle name should only have the first little. ex) ronald b. weasley
- for all those who like to have creative choice, it's good for you to know that we accept both canon and original characters.
- RTB is a third person roleplaying site. we do not allow first person roleplaying. for those of you unaware of what this means, it's simple. do not use words like "i" or "me." instead go for "she" and "he."
- sign up and stay to play. nobody likes a ditcher!
characters and posts
[/size][/li][/ul][/blockquote][/blockquote]
- we understand that some people can handle more characters than others. because of this, we do not have a limit of characters per person. there are rules, however. you may only make a forth characters once your first three all have fifteen posts or more each. if you're active, this shouldn't be hard.
- we ask that for every two girls, one boy is made. a 2:1 ratio is only fair to keep balance between genders.
- character's play-bys may only be celebrities. we do not allow cartoons, anime or pictures of you.
- play-by's may not be changed after you are accepted, so choose wisely!
- upon being accepted, head towards the claims. nothing is guarenteed until you have made those final posts. just being accepted isn't enough to keep you your play-by or canon.
- like every site, we do not allow mary and gary-sues. there isn't a person in this world without a flaw. they may think so, but that right there would be their biggest. for those who are unaware, a mary-sue and gary-sue are people who are either perfect and have nothing bad about them or a person with no good traits whatsoever.
- because of the change in proboards rule, we no longer allow you to roleplay out any sexual or violent actions. you are allowed to mention sex, yes, but do not go into details. if this happens th thread will be deleted and members involved with recieve a warning. three strikes and you're out.
c-box and advertising
[/size][/li][/ul][/blockquote][/blockquote]
- do not advertise in our c-box and we will return the favor.
- make sure to advertise in the correct subboard. also, we ask that you check that no one else has already posted the ad before you.
- guests are more than welcome to join in the c-box. we encourage you to ask questions and have fun. just don't disrespect anybody. that is more than majorly uncool.
restrictions
[/size][/li][/ul][/blockquote][/blockquote]
- there are no restrictions for characters or genders. however, read above for a ratio when it comes to genders.
- we ask that you always have at least 400 words in each of your posts. this way all levels of roleplayers can join in on our fun. feel free to post more though! it's encouraged.
- when it comes to applications, you may post an application for a week before it goes denied.
- swearing is allowed on RTB. we do ask that members and guests are mature with it though.
- if there comes a time where we feel that there are too many of a half-breed or special abilities, we have the right to put a restriction on them. for now, there is none. we do ask that you fill out the form here
- for those who wish to be accepted, highlight the bottom of this thread for the secret code. this way we will know you read through the rules.
- pregnancies. these can get very popular. everybody loves them. they're cute, fragile and lovable- why wouldn't you love them? if you would like your characters to get pregnant, they are more likely to get accepted if they are an adult. this does not mean we won't accept teeange pregnanies, though. if interested, fill out the form and be sure to be detailed.
- it takes at least two admin approvals for an acceptance on pregnancies, special abilities and half-breeds. we do have lives, however. so please do not rush us. we will get back to you within two or three days at the most.
graphics and coding
[/size][/li][/ul][/blockquote][/blockquote]
- because of the fact that Shayla is a coding nut with slight OCD, she asks that you post in size 0 or 1 at all times. no other coding is mandatory, though for all newbies a blockquote never hurt no one!
- all signatures and icons must be of your characters. no flowers, sayings, etc.
- we ask that when choosing graphics, they are chosen from good pictures. no one likes blurry, grossly sized photos. if you are unable to find any, ask a member or admin! somebody will be willing to give a hand to those who aren't able.
- if we feel that your graphics are too big or too small, you will recieve a PM. the smallest for an icon is 100x100. signatures are a little tricker to put a size for, so we won't. if unsure, 200x300 are always popular.
