No I don't just want any pretty face Wanna wake up next to yours each day ----------------------------- tag: noah , word count: 669 , lyric credit: the cab , notes: i hope this is okay? noah's on the quidditch team? marley sat on the stands of the quidditch pitch feeling the autumn weather coming in. she ran her hand through the waves in her hair. marley's eyes were directed to the quidditch game that was happening in front of her. it had been a game for fun featuring the slytherins and hufflepuffs. while the competition had thickened when it came to quidditch at university, the students could still have fun. marley never did really get into the game much but she didn't mind cheering on her team. she wasn't meant for quidditch. she was more of a dance girl. marley had grown up in ballet and figure skating. both had competition but not at the level that quidditch was at. she pulled the sleeves of her lavender cardigan closer to her wrist and watched with other students around. it was a small group but none of marley's inner circle. she knew she would have to open her group a little. she wasn't the same as she had been. marley was only in her sophomore year though. being a freshmen at university meant that you didn't talk to anyone but the freshmen. sophomore year was much easier. it was a comfortable place to be in. there wasn't the pressure of senior year but you were well adjusted to what school brought. marley propped her chin onto the palm of her hand. she hadn't had much to do today and she had heard of this game going on that she thought it wouldn't hurt to check it out. she had finished all the homework and readings given to her that she didn't have anything that she was required to do. checking on her friends, they were all in the library studying. marley didn't want to bother them and so she went on by herself. she was used to having people around her but marley was nineteen now. two years of being independent and she still wasn't used to it?! something was wrong here and she knew that she would have to learn better than that. she saw that the game was coming to a stop and other students leaving. marley stayed for a couple more minutes seeing the quidditch team members go into their change rooms. marley sighed realizing that she would have no where else to go. she could always go hang out in her dorm...but marley didn't want to be by herself. she had been by herself long enough that she didn't want to continue. she got up from her seat going down the stairs to where the grass was. she stepped onto the green grass. marley looked up to where the hoops was. she hadn't flown a broom in so long that she couldn't imagine being that high. she just liked to sit in the stands where it would be safe. marley hadn't even attempted at hogwarts to try out for the quidditch team. she had been a weird shaped girl and a weakling. she was just awkward and all the members of the quidditch team had been on the higher end of the social ladder. marley was on the bottom. she was probably in the dirt when it came to that ladder. marley thought that she might as well get going. what was the point of her standing here? there was none really. marley's head turned hearing the chatter of the quidditch teams coming out. marley walked back up to the stands (she didn't want to be asked why she had been standing on the field). she saw the group of slytherins first and then the hufflepuffs coming out from the other side. she recognized the students from the slytherin team, as for the hufflepuff team, marley wasn't too sure. the only one she recognized was noah bannon who was in her year but marley had never spoken to. she hadn't heard too good about him from others, it wasn't as if marley was going to talk to him. he was known for only speaking to pretty girls. |
