Tashia couldn't see herself as bitter. she liked see herself as more of a realist. accepting the truth. no girls could deny that there wasn't a guy out there that knew how to treat a girl right. or that could understand and put up with girls on their 'time of the month.' guys weren't able to think passed sex and looks, seeing personality as what was the best thing in a girl. they couldn't even think of anyone but themselves! at least this was the experience she had with guys. always. so how was it being bitter if it was all she knew? all they knew? Tashia was confused, but she had to admit to herself that they weren't always together, therefore there were chances were they could met actual nice, datable guys. ha. that was funny. Tashia still couldn't believe it was even possible. talk about pessimism. the point was, however, she had been convinced and here she was, waiting outside of the theme park for a guy she couldn't identify. apparently he had a description of her, and that was how it was going to work. in the back of her mind, Tashia half wanted to be stood up, that way she would be able to prove to her girls that guys couldn't pull through, even when fun rides were involved. the other half was hoping he would show up (and be good-looking and horny) because she was lacking good sex. hey hey- don't judge. she may have said guys weren't datable, but that didn't mean every once in awhile she didn't give them what they wanted. girls had needs too, and she wasn't looking for attachment. just pleasure. the difference between herself and the male race, though, was the fact that she knew she could be a girlfriend; or at least she thought. she had never had a boyfriend before. not really. only friends with benefits. Tashia knew for a fact that she could care for others, and think of people besides herself and also want more than sex. things she believed guys were incapable of. so sue her if she used males highest flaws to her advantage now that she was able.
the time the Pritchard girl had spent getting ready had been what one could call a "tad" ridiculous. it all started off with a regular twenty-six minute shower. her showers were always precise, and although her friends constantly made fun of her, it was how she kept it. occasionally a longer shower would kick in but that tended to be when she was screaming across the bathroom to another friend, or a guy was showering with her- which, for the record- had only happened once before and boy, it hadn't been as fun as she thought it would be. drying her hair didn't take too long, a maximum of five minutes with a spell she had been taught back at Hogwarts. clothing herself had, by far, taken the longest. forty-five minutes in she had stopped keeping track of time. choosing what to wear when unaware of the potential the guy was going to have made things way more difficult. she had the choice of going for "eh. i'd tap that." or "oh HOT damn." in the end, after throwing most of her wardrobe back and forth across the dorm room, annoying one of her roommates in the process with the clutter, Tashia had chosen dark, slim fitting jeans, a white low-cut top paired with her all time favourite brown jacket. Tashia had never been the type of girl to "forget" her jacket so that the guy would potentially offer her theirs. she could take care of herself. the romance stuff didn't happen outside of movies. there was no reason for her to ever believe it did and there was a slim doubt that it would change. not too much thought had ever really been put into the possibility, for that matter. slipping on a necklace short necklace, followed by a long, rather pointless one as well, Tashia gave her wand a flick and watched as her clothes went back to where they had been before disturbed. applying a light coding of make-up, she wanted to look natural for today. there was never a day where she would cake her make-up on or plaster it permanently to her face so it didn't rub off even when sleeping (like ew, major hygiene issues there). the preference to apply light coats that sometimes didn't even last the night before fading were more in her boat for dolling her face up. aware that attention was brought to her breasts by the pointless necklace, Tashia smirked and walked out of the dorm, having placed her shoes on minutes before- a simple pair of converse runners to be exact.
brushing hair out of her face, Tashia had the choice of apperating. instead, she was risking her long time count put into getting ready so that she could walk to the amusement park. she could use the exercise. it wasn't as if the distance was that far either. sure, it was outside of the University grounds and the way to the gate was quite vast itself, but she walked, ran- you name it and she does it, on a regular basis. sticking her hands in her jacket pocket, she set on her way, allowing her dark hair to blow back with the wind. arriving some time later, Tashia found a bench to rest while she waited for the mystery man to find her. curiosity was getting to her, as there were so many males in the world it was hard to say who her friends would chose; especially if they wanted to try and change her views slightly on how all men were pigs and nothing more- ever. chuckling to herself, Tashia let a soft sigh escape her pink lips, noting to herself that she would wait fifteen minutes maximum and then declare that she was stood up.

you're so damn hot it's just crazy. and without a doubt, i still can't believe, that you were right there in front of me. never saw the chemistry that was there with you and me, it's been a long time coming. just waiting on an angel to take me out of my hell, i'm falling for you. Scott Avery prided himself on three things, primarily. Being the vain individual that he was, there were plenty of things that he prided himself in, and so it wasn’t uncommon to hear him sing his praises. But over his twenty years, three attributes he had awarded himself had stuck out in his mind far more than anything else. One was his undoubtedly good looks. It was hard for someone to deny that Scott was attractive, and as far as he was concerned it was his right to exploit it. It was like a gift, right? It probably would’ve been a crime if he didn’t use his looks to charm girls. This fuelled his vanity to a point where it was probably unhealthy, but whatever. He was proud of it. Another was his ability to sweet talk his way into just about anything that he wanted. He knew that it was awfully pretentious of him to even think that he held that kind of power over someone else, but it was true. He had managed to sweet talk himself out of some pretty gnarly situations, and wasn’t about to pretend any different. And lastly? Well, the thing that Scott prided in himself more than anything else was, believe it or not, his compassion. The fact that, underneath it all, Scott Avery wasn’t a complete ass who only used others to get what he wanted. That he had a sense of decency, that he wasn’t completely bad. And although not many people ever really got to see this side of him, it shone through often enough for him to be legitimately proud of it.
It was a combination of these three talents that had brought Scott to the park this afternoon. It had actually started about three weeks ago, when he had been sitting in the cafeteria, as he would in any other day. He had been laughing and joking with his friends, when he saw Natasha Pritchard and her friends walk in. Scott saw this every day, but for some reason, that day had been different. He had always known that Tashia’s group of friends were unspeakably beautiful, inside and out in most cases, but that wasn’t what caught his eye. Or it was, but it was more than that. Not even he knew how to describe what he had felt when he looked up from his slop on a tray and saw her. It sounded cheap, sleazy and corny, but it was true. After that one lunch, Scott knew that he had to at least try and get a date with her, and within fifteen minutes of the end of that lunch, he was already devising a plan. A plan so great, there was nothing that could possibly stand in its way.
He was wrong, of course. This didn't surprise him, Scott was often wrong. But he had to admit, this blow had hit him a little harder than being humiliated by Rowle in DADA. Particularly because this blow had been delivered to him by the ickle freshman Ellie Platt, one of Tashia's best friends, and the girl he had chosen to help him in his plan. However, as soon as he had approached her about it, she had openly laughed. Laughed, at his attempts. She had quickly informed him of Tashia's long standing pessimistic views when it came to love, men and the general concept of being with someone else. Combining that with Scott's notorious reputation that was fuelled by rumours and myths, Elena Platt had figured it largely unlikely that Tashia was ever going to agree to go on a date with him. Scott didn't really hear that part, though. What he heard instead was; "Blah blah blah, I've presented you with a challenge... Do you accept?" And for Scott, the challenge was accepted. He spent the next two weeks meeting with Ellie, proving to her that he was a decent, date-worthy guy that she should introduce to her friend. And every one of his attempts was met with a resistance that could probably rival the Order of the Phoenix in the Battle of Hogwarts. After two weeks of pulling out all the stops, using both his looks and sweet talking moves to eventually achieve the inevitable. One afternoon, after finally exploding in frustration at being rejected day after day, when he was a good person, Elena finally relented. "She's agreed to a date, but I don't know, Scott. You're just another player, just someone else that'll hurt her. I think if you cared as much as you said you did, you'd just leave her alone. She has enough on her plate." That was all Scott got before the younger girls eyes widened and she scuttled off. Her spiel had given Scott something to think about. Maybe it would be better that he told Elena that someone else would be going to the date? And then that way, if his chances of impressing Tashia was as dull and desolate as she seemed to believe, then she couldn't be blamed for him showing up for their blind date... He did, after all, want to make a good impression, and he had a funny feeling that it wasn't just Tashia he had to impress, and that there were seven friends waiting on the side-lines ready to castrate him if things went wrong.
And so Scott had gone into damage repair mode. Finding Ellie the next day, he quickly explained that he had gotten Bentley to go instead, briefly outlining that he had taken her words to heart. He almost felt bad for lying, but as he saw her eyes light up at his words, he felt he had done the right thing. The rest of the week seemed to pass painfully slowly, as he waited for the big day to arrive. He had to admit that he was actually pretty nervous. After all, this had been two weeks in the making, and by the time he would finally get to spend time with her would be after three weeks. it was quite a big and scary thought if he was honest, and he couldn't help but feel more and more nervous, especially as the day came closer and closer. So when the big day finally did come around, Scott was a little bit of a wreck. Dressed in a simple black hoodie and some jeans, he didn’t really bother on focussing on his appearance too much. After all, he was out to prove a point today; too prove a point and impress a girl. He didn’t want her to see the version of Scott that took a good half an hour to perfect, but instead the version of Scott that was a little more real. He wanted to show her that he wasn’t like the other guys she had dated or come into contact with. It all sounded creepy and a little bit stalkerish, but Scott was pretty sure that what he had felt in the lunchroom that day had been pretty close to real. He wanted to pursue it, to see where it led him, or them.
It didn’t take long for him to spot Tashia out amongst the groups of people around the park. She stood out, kind of like the light at the end of a tunnel. He had arrived at the park slightly before her, having left well before her in the logic that it was probably bad form to arrive after her. Grinning as she sat down, he couldn’t help but slip into the cocky and confident Scott mode, doing his best to disguise his sweaty palms and nervous smile. "Hey, Tashia." He said, his small smile strangely uncharacteristic of him. "I… How are you?" He asked. He probably should’ve planned what he was going to say before he came. There were flaws to every plan, and it seemed that Scott’s was his inability to ‘be cool’. Well, this was going to be interesting.
