welcome arrow through the heart under yours skin feels like home electric shocks on aching bones, give me a chance to hold on, give me a chance to hole on just give me something to hold on to it's so clear now that, ( you are all that i have, i have no fear cuz you are all that i have--------------------------- ! ) "jesus mason, answer a goddamn phone call- or owl- or text- ANYTHING for once in your bloody life. fucking wizards and their lack of communication abilities." exclaimed one eloise harper greyback. for the fact that this mason seemed to be her best friend, and that they rarely were out of contact with each other, her best friend was getting strangely hard to get in contact with him. it had only been a little over a day since the last time she'd spoken with him, but that was a record for them. they talked to each other every day, especially since harper had purchased a small prepaid cell phone and shoved it in his hand for better means of communication three years ago. through texting (which mason was slow to get used to) or mostly calling each other every night, they always seemed to be in contact. that was how they were, and always had been. they met when harper was a little first year, and mason was some big shot third year. how the two of them became friends, she would never know. but somehow, the both of them clicked, and they had been best friends ever since. they watched each other progress from awkward preteens, to even more awkward teenagers, to what the both of them were today. mason had always been kind of adorable, in a way, and by the time she really realized he was attractive, he was well into his "i sleep with everyone because of some bitch" days. harper was more then happy to oblige and help him with his venture. he was her first, and she never regretted that. if it was going to be anyone who was her first, she wanted it to be her best friend. there was no judgment with him (not that there had been any complaints, but maybe that was just mason being mason), and she wasn't pressured at all. ever since, the both of them had been closer than ever. nothing changed in their friendship, except an increased amount of sex jokes and a few more meaningful glances across the room that would lead a little further then before. but mason was still mason, and harper was still harper, no matter what their sex life consisted of. for that reason, they were almost always in contact anyway. whenever either of them were lonely and felt like it, they knew they had each other. it was the same situation she had with toby, but... different. with toby, there wasn't a question of her feelings. with mason, she denied any feelings she felt for the boy. as far as she was concerned, the only reason she was upset about anything was because mason was being a tool, not because she missed him. feelings and harper did not get along. she didn't feel anything for anyone, simply for the cliche fact that feelings got her hurt. with mason especially, this was true. she'd been harboring feelings for the boy for as long as she could remember. he had always been a cute kid, and he always made her laugh, without fail, and that was one thing that harper loved in people. with them sleeping together, and him being her first, it only made things heightened, however much she denied it. they were just best friends. just. best. friends. mason had been hurt before by someone he trusted, and therefore, never trusted anyone again. she would not make him go through something like that again. it was unfair, and she refused. but he was putting himself through it without even realizing it. the girl he was with at the current time, adele potter, was just going to do exactly what the last girl did. maybe not with bentley, but with someone alright. she heard through fish that maverick was into her, and no matter what it was that maverick wanted, or who the girl was, he always got what he wanted. as much as harper adored maverick, the kid had no morals, and wouldn't care if adele had a boyfriend. and adele would end up hurting mason in a way harper didn't think she ever could. not in a million years. but on another hand, harper didn't do well with commitment. maybe that was why she never voiced her feelings. she knew she could easily hurt him as easily as he could hurt her. and as for any other feelings she had for him... well, she could always just write that off as her desire for him. but then there were her feelings for toby. those were completely different, for one reason or the next. with toby, she felt as if she could... actually settle with him. he was amazing, talented, funny and killer in bed. he understood her music obsession better than anyone, and could make her squirm with the slightest touch. not many could claim that, but toby could. but she was well aware that she had competition for him, even if the bitch soraya had her claws in eli rowle. but she was friends with the gang as well, though not quite a part of it. not the way harper, aus and harley were. they were the only girls really allowed into the top gun gang. even though harper and aus didn't really have names the way the other guys did, they were still more of a part of the gang then soraya. and anyway, harper and toby normally slept together- almost as much as she slept with mason... almost. the feelings she had for toby were so much different. she could be content with leaning her head on his shoulder and just listen to him play guitar and sing. it made her want to have blue eyes, just hearing him sing that song about a girl with baby blue eyes. she could easily listen to him for hours on end just... playing. it was something they both loved. and it was so easy to lose track of time with him. she never heard the end of it from maverick, but it didn't matter. when stupid comments stopped mattering to harper, it meant something. and then there was kya. but she didn't even want to think about kya. harper was on a mission. she needed to see mason as soon as she possibly could, and she needed to talk to him. why? because it had been far too long since the last time it happened. so there she was, walking through the dorms to one she knew all too well. despite the fact that she was not living on campus (which seemed to be for the better, since the dorms on campus were manned by nazi's, or so it seemed), she knew the dorms like the back of her hand, especially mason's. that was the easiest to get to. she nodded to people she knew, ignored those she hated, and tried to get to the dorm as fast as possible. this was ridiculous. so many people lived on campus and were starting to crowd the sidewalks. it was to a point where she nearly screamed "OI" and started pushing. but she didn't. looking down at her phone, she quickly typed if you're currently fucking adele, i don't even care. i'm walking in. so don't be fucking adele. she sent it and stomped toward her destination. if adele was there, she would have to suppress the urge to deck the bitch in the face. alex would literally have to hold her back. that was going to be fun. half of her hoped he was just caught up in homework, or hanging with fish or something like that. something that didn't involve him with any other girl. that she could deal with. and she could deal with distracting him from this homework. but if he was with adele, then her excuse was to go see fish, now that he knew about her little godson- his son benjamin. by the time her thoughts were done swimming, she was finally at his dorm. she knocked on the door and then proceeded to fold her hands across her chest. "oi. open the goddamn door. i swear to you if you're-" she said, as the door opened. "oh hey fish." she said, walking into the dorm. "MASON AESALON, I DON'T CARE IF YOU'RE IN BOXERS. GET OUT HERE." she said, plopping on the couch ♥ ♥ ♥ template by hay shay ! @ caution 2.0 LYRICS BY SNOW PATROL |
