And I can't describe there's something about the way you change me there were a few things that winter loved. one of them being his best friends. winter loved his best friends they were the people that he really connected with. there was his best friend tony. tony had been the person that had been there for winter since the very beginning. first year on the train. the only thing bad about his best friend was his crazy option with anyone muggles and muggleborns which winter was. he wasn't exactly sure but it was a safe bet to say that he was a muggleborn rather than a half blood. the scamanders however were a pureblooded family. it was how their friendship had started. winter had just kept the simple detail that he was adopted out of the whole friendship. there were only two person in the entire would that knew was adalynn goyle and that was because he had only recently started a friendship with her and he wanted to start a friendship right for once in his life. was that such a bad thing? he didn't think so. the other person that knew about his adopted was matilda rowle. and he'd asked her to not to tony. however winter give mattie the world if he could. it was quite obvious the crush that winter had on the red head. it wasn't like he hide it, only it front of tony, her cousin. he called her beautiful and gorgeous even if she only took it as a friendly terms. winter was sure that mattie was the most beautiful girl at the school, however he wouldn't admit that to ruin the friendship that he had grown with the girl. he'd already come to terms with the fact that mattie would never feel the same about him as he felt for her. it was the only reason that they even had sleepovers! which was what he was headed to right now.
mattie and him had so many sleepovers that honestly winter had lost count. it wasn't necessarily a good thing though. it meant that she only viewed him as friend but at least she went to him for advice and he loved to help her. every time that she was happy and smiling it made him smile like no tomorrow. then there was always that one person that didn't make him smile which was conor prince. he hated conor prince and if you knew winter he didn't hate many people if anyone at all. he didn't like to not like people it just wasn't in his nature. he preferred to be liked by all and make friends with all. that was just the way winter worked. grabbing his sleeping back and the rest of the things he would need for the sleepover. he threw in some goodies to give to the lovely mattie. he grabbed her favorite things. he was so excited about the sleepover he couldn't even wait to go talk to his best friend. he swung the bag over his shoulder casually looking over at tony's empty bed. he was glad that he wasn't there that way he wouldn't have to explain that he was going to his cousin's dorm to sleep over. winter walked out his door silently and walked across the campus, it wasn't a long walk since he was used to it though having being just new to the university. upon reaching mattie's door he smiled already knowing that she was behind it. he knocked on it. "come on red open the door," he said after he knocked. he loved to bother her just cause it made her smile and that made him smile. [/div] tag mattie <3, jeans and tee, <33

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=style,width:390px; background-color:#ECECEC;border-right:20px solid black;border-left:20px solid black;padding-bottom:5px;] just a shot in the dark * while mattie was eighteen, she didn't really act her age. she didn't feel like she was of age. she had turned seventeen early on in her seventh year at hogwarts but she hadn't taken her independence to her full advantage. she had celebrated her birthday with a few friends. one of them including winter scamander. they had been best friends since their first year. mattie couldn't ask for a better friend than him. she really did like the guy but as a friend. mattie had never imagined a relationship with him. he was a sweetheart and she loved the sound of his voice. the way that he called her red. since coming to university, mattie had tried to keep her friendship with him going but she felt like it was harder now. during the summer, they had spent almost everyday with each other. mattie was lucky. she lived in a big home and her parents had given the freedom to have winter over whenever he could come over. he had gained the family's trust that nothing was going on between them. mattie couldn't even imagine it. she loved their sleepovers too much. tonight was just going to be him and her. her room mates had all gone to their own sleepover and mattie would be all by herself. she thought that tonight would be a good night to invite over winter. mattie was already in comfy clothes wearing a grey t-shirt and pink sweatpants. she had gotten used to winter seeing her not done up, it was like he had become another one of her siblings. she was lucky that he had never tried anything on her. she was sure that if she invited anyone else to have a sleepover with her that they'd ask her about her feelings towards them or try to advance something. all the years of mattie and winter having sleepovers, it had never happened.
mattie heard a knock on her door. she was lying on her bed, her arm over her eyes. she then heard his voice and a grin came on her face. "what's the password?" she yelled from across the room. mattie flopped herself onto the floor. she got up realizing that she hadn't bothered to clean up anything. she scrambled picking up any laundry lying on her floor from her roommates and her. she hadn't even prepared at all. it was so much easier in her house where she knew where everything was. at university, she had to clean up her roommates' stuff to do. that wasn't fun at all. she ran around the room, her feet thumping around. mattie picked up a few socks and shirts and threw them in the laundry basket. she made sure to look around for any embarrassing items. when she did, she picked them up and managed to throw them into the closet where the laundry basket was located. finally mattie had everything clean. she pulled out some blankets and threw them out along with some pillows before closing the closet door. "give me five minutes, i'm not ready!" she looked in the mirror to see how much of a mess she had made herself as she scrambled to clean up. mattie wished that it was as easy as home as it was at university to do this. she straightened things around the room before walking over to the door. mattie opened it seeing winter. she smiled throwing her arms around him. "winter!" she was always so excited seeing him. even more excited now that they were still able to have sleepovers during the school year.

And I can't describe there's something about the way you change me winter and mattie were difficult to explain when you first met them. they didn't look like they were together together, they looked like best friends ... however it was too clear that winter looked at mattie way different than the way she looked at him. it was sad but completely true. sometimes he even hoped that mattie felt the same way but she didn't and he just had to live with it. he wanted her to be comfortable around him which was why he always kept the secret of his crush from her. if he told her how he felt, it would just make things awkward between and he would hate to do that. winter loved to be around mattie to much to suddenly just not be around her anymore, it would kill him inside softly. that redhead just made his entire so much brighter, with the way she spoke to simply the way she just stood there, it was incredible the effect that mattie had on him without even knowing it. winter sometimes wondered if mattie did know though the effect that she had on him, she'd placed a spell on him ever since she walked up to the sorting hat her bouncing red hair looking amazing and her stance making him melt. he'd only been eleven then and he was still to think girls were icky right? well mattie and winter had always been best friends since the very start and tony too. that was another problem that winter had, tony was mattie's cousin and winter would never admit these feelings that he had for mattie to him though tony was his best friend... that could only ensure trouble. and a lot of disaster. winter sighed a little as the knock bounced off the walls inside the dorm.
he laughed from the outside of the room when her voice came faintly asking for a password. he knocked again. "is it: red is the most beautiful and the most perfect color is the world," he said grinning ear to ear the entire time. it wasn't very hard to pin point what red's favorite color was, after all her hair was that very color. however after he spoke he heard a lot of moving and jumbling and couldn't help but smile. he leaned against the threshold as he waited for mattie to answer the door. he could wait as long as she needed him to wait for, he wouldn't mind, after all, they were best friends and best friends waited for each other right? he chuckled as she shouted at the door again. "merlin red you don't gotta prime yourself up for me," he teased her smiling. that very thought though, that she could possibly be taking her time just to look a little better for him made his stomach turn happily, he knew that wasn't the deal... she was more likely than not making the room look better not herself. before he knew it the door was opened and there was a tiny red head in his arms. he snaked his arms around waist and hugged back. he loved how excited she got to him, it made him giddy on the inside. "hello red, how are you?" he smiled at her, the picture in his mind wasn't nowhere near as beautiful as the creature in front of him. "aren't you going to let me inside," he lifted his bag. "i have chocolate, marshmallows and crackers... we could make s'mores," said winter raising an eyebrow at his favorite girl. he truly did love to spend time with her. she was utterly perfect in his eyes.
