why had it happened to him?! of all the times he'd been offered to move on from his past, no matter how many girls that had been shoved his way by his group of best mates, he always stuck to his crazy romantic idea that maybe, just maybe, celeste would realize her mistake and come back to him. he never stopped thinking of her, and how perfect she was. how amazing she always looked. how much he missed her. what could have been. where she was at the moment. if he ever thought of her. if he did something wrong. it was next to impossible to get her off of his mind, no matter how hard he tried. his friends knew it was bad. they knew he should stop. but what were they supposed to do? they tried to fix him up with other girls- girls just as pretty as celeste. girls that could distract him. they were always brunettes or red heads, simply because every blonde he saw reminded him of celeste. maverick was the worst of them. he was only trying to make fish feel better, and he knew it, but no amount of pretty girls could get celeste off his mind. when he started college, alex thought things were going to get better. he could move on with his life if he wanted to. he would be able to go on and find another girl. that was what college was for, wasn't it? he was about to start moving on when he spotted her. yes, two years ago, when he started school, he swore he saw her. in fact, it was ellery, but that didn't help in the slightest. celeste's twin sister was a slightly psychopathic bitch who hated alex as much as he hated her, and would do anything to be able to cause him pain. ellery was not the easiest person to avoid, but alex tried his hardest. the memories weren't the easiest to avoid either. seeing the face, the face he knew so well, almost killed him. though ellery usually wore a little more make up than celeste did, but the structure was the same, and underneath, they were identical. so after that, his plans of moving on were shot. all he could think about was her again. it was nearly impossible not to think of her again. maverick was sick and tired of hearing all his sad, sappy love songs. she was the subject of every single one of them. whether they were fast paced, slow paced- they were all about her. or one of the random girls maverick got into. she was impossible to forget, and such an inspiration for songs. and just when alex had though he would really never see her again, just her doppelganger twin, his world entirely flipped. on his way down to the field to play guitar when he literally bumped into the girl he hadn't been able to stop thinking of for years... and her four year old son. alex nearly died. the child was insanely cute, there was no denying it. he looked exactly like his mother... but with his eyes. alex's eyes, which belonged to his mother... the kid... was alex's kid. things went so bloody fast it wasn't funny. alex was still reeling from all the commotion. seeing celeste had him seeing stars to begin with, but the idea of having a child completely wiped his mind. benjie was adorable. seriously. it was probably a little bit of the whole veela thing, but it was also a little bit of the fact that he was related to celeste in the first place. but the fact that he was his son made him all the more irresistible. he already adored the kid, and he'd been around him for... a very short amount of time, considering. when he left celeste, he had no idea what he was doing, where he was going, or what he was going to do later. there was only one place he could think of going. austin blake had been fish's best friend since hogwarts. aus, spidey, mav and fish were all best friends. they were a group within a group. she was one of the guys, but at the same time, if there was anyone fish could see himself other than celeste, it was aus. but the both of them were in love with someone else... but if there ever a chance, alex would've been with her in a second. however, for now they were best friends. and fish needed her like crazy at the moment. his feet knew where to go, even if his mind was shut completely down. before he even knew he was in the right direction, he was at aus's door, knocking. "aus. open up. i need to talk. and vodka. stat." aus, finally <3 , 986 |
