men. they were absoultely going to be the death of her. Adalynn Goyle was sure of this. they drove her absoultely bonkers. with a capital b for that matter. if there was one thing on the face of this lovely world that she didn't understand was guys. they were truly terrible. granted she had to give the benefit of the doubt to some of them. not all of them were truly bad, but majority of them just ruined it for the others. she had taken just about all that she could from some of them. it was like because she had suddenly grown out of her awkwardness they all wanted her. what was worse was they all expected her to want them back. as if. Adalynn barely had any experience with guys as it was, she wasn't about to throw herself to the sharks. not that she would want them anyways, it was just one big headache. yes she liked guys, but merlin did they annoy her. she almost missed the days when they didn't pay her any attention. missed the days where she could just blend in the shadows. those were the days when she could get her work done. when she could walk wherever she wanted without being whistled at or called some name that guys thought were good. didn't they know that girls didn't want to be called hot? sheesh. they were a headache. the situations they put her in were enough to give her a migraine for merlin's sake. she had signed up for a fashion major with hopes of being able to escape the male race for a few hours a day. so far she had been lucky but in her business minor classes she wasn't so lucky. nor was she lucky when it came to her job. she swore guys came in just to annoy her.
it had been one of those days at work. usually working for madame malkin was a pleasant experience. she could sew and stitch circles around most of the other girls. fashion design was one thing she was confident about. she knew what she was talking about and understood the idea of trends. however, when males appeared in her work area and asked for her assistance it usually never ended well. nine times out of ten they had called her over to try and get a date out of her. something she was hardly interested in, especially when she was working. other guys even went as far to have her measure their inseam just so they could get her near their manhood. it disgusted her really, the lengths some guys would go too. no, didn't seem to be an answer most of them understood either. it only seemed like a challenge to them, and their persistence only further annoyed her. Adalynn managed to keep her cool for the most part, because she was a professional and that was what she had to do. there was a part of her that wanted to curse each and every one of them into the next century just so they would get the hint. sometimes she just wished she understood the male brain so that she could have a better know how into getting away from them. it wasn't that she didn't want to be with one of them, but she wanted to be with the right one. not one of these jerks who was only suddenly showing interest in her. every guy that she knew from Hogwarts that had ever taunted or teased her, none of them ever stood a chance. that was one thing she was sure of.
that had been one of the great things about coming to University. it was the chance to meet new people. guys who didn't know how she used to look. so they could simply get to know the girl she was now. most of the guys that she had encountered that she hadn't known in the past were decent enough. the only thing was, she didn't know how to act around them. Adalynn would get as nervous as one could be. she'd shift awkwardly upon her feet or chair, her palms would grow sweaty and she would ramble about nonsense things. almost positive that she was boring each new guy she had encountered thus far. Lucian was probably one of the only guys she could talk too and that was because he was her cousin. she had grown up around him so he was different. she didn't lack the confidence to talk to a guy, she just didn't know how too. that was one good thing about her recent change in looks. her confidence was growing. all these thoughts rambled through her mind as she walked back to the University after her shift that evening. the roads were still slick from the rain they had previously that day. which meant the grass was even more slick. ultimately Adalynn should have been paying a lot more attention to where she was going, especially since she was wearing heels. with her thoughts as scrambled as they were though, she wasn't paying attention to where she was going. barely making it across the road without getting hit by a passing by car, who honked at her but she ignored.
the clouds above still looked dark, as though they were going to open up at any moment again. yet the courtyard and surrounding grounds were still full of students enjoying fresh air. students who went around the mud puddles that were before them. students that weren't Adalynn. it all happened so fast. her foot had collided with the mud puddle and her hands and connected with someone else. as she fell into the mud she accidentally pulled this other person down with her. as her butt hit the ground, Adalynn pulled herself from her thoughts. only long enough to suddenly burst out laughing at herself. she was covered head to toe in mud, positive there wasn't a single clear inch of skin upon her. looking to the person she accidentally pulled down she cringed. "merlin! i am so sorry!" she attempted to get out without laughing but it wasn't possible. clumsy was one thing she was, she didn't need any help from the elements of mother nature. her blue eyes sparkled with the laughter that was escaping her lips. she could just imagine the impression she had made on this young man. this girl who looked down right prim and proper in a black skirt, with a white blouse and a black vest over top. the outfit complete with a pair of black stiletto's that looked extremely expensive. she had probably looked every inch a girly girl. who was now sitting in the mud and laughing about it. shaking her head at herself, this was going to take forever to get out of her hair. it was still entirely fun though.

And I can't describe there's something about the way you change me winter's life was going pretty spectacular. he had recently decided to start at the university. any idea that his fathers were very pleased to hear. though they would have supported him any other decision that he would have made, winter knew that they really love the fact that he had chosen to go to uni because he wanted to further his education. now the thing was winter wasn't at all sure what he wanted to study, he had barely chosen to come to the university at all. all he simply knew was that he would follow what he thought knew best. at the moment he thought going to university was best, which was why at the moment he found himself in charms class. he had chosen charms as his major though he had no idea why. it seemed like a harmless enough major and winter loved charms. he really did. he loved charms but this one class where you learned the history of every single spell just bored the crap out of winter. it made him go to sleep and made him want wish that he had gotten a few more hours of shut eyes the night before. he wondered what his friends where up to, they couldn't be out side, it was one of those rainy stormy days in england, those days that you didn't want to be outside unless you just needed to be. for once winter was glad to be in class. he turned his attention back to the lecture at hand trying to concentrate and make sure that he took notes. after all the boy was a ravenclaw and though witty and book smart he was naturally he loved getting good grades. he dozed off a little here and there and forced his eyes to stay awake, it wasn't an easy task but he managed until the professor finally called the class to and end. however he called winter behind. they talked about his paper for a while while it poured outside and winter couldn't believe it. if he had felt with his peers he would be dry and nice and warm. he waited however with his professor until the rain passed and then started the long walk across campus.
by now winter wasn't exactly in a happy mood and to any girl that looked half decent he gave such a deep glare that they probably grew some what insecure if they weren't already. he looked above at the dark clouds before he felt it. someone has collided into him pulling him and herself into the mud. he only took half a second to be able to place his hands and land properly though that didn't stop himself and herself from being covered in mood. he looked at her. instantly he started to judge her. she was pretty, in heels a skirts and just a girly girl outfit. winter didn't like her one bit at all. she screamed her mother, winter made a face. he was about to stand up, it wasn't like she was about to apologize anyway, pretty girls never did anything wrong when suddenly she started to laugh... it wasn't a fake laugh anyway it was such a happy such a real laugh that winter couldn't help but let the anger of his bad day sort of slide of into nothingness. he smiled at her. "i'm winter when i'm not covered in mud," he said extending his hand and smiling. it was strange, he had never met a girly girl that could laugh about falling in the mud, he wondered for moment if she would play in the mud too? no way, then she would be too perfect. winter shook his head, there was no way, no girl could be like that. he tried to wipe some mud of his clothes but in the process accidentally it landed on the girl. winter's face grew shocked. "shoot i'm so sorry," he said before smiling a little. "i'm not sure which part of your body it hit you though," he said trying to hold in a laugh. he hadn't meant to throw the mud her but now that her thought about it, it could mean the start of a mud fight.[/div] tag adalynn, jeans and tee, there a post for ada mud fights <3

Adalynn was almost positive that if her mother could see her right now, she would probably die of a heart attack. ever since she was a young child, her mother had tried to convince her that dirt was the devil. if she ever came into the house dirty she was sent to immediately wash up, making sure she didn't leave the bathroom until she was practically sparkling. though this didn't stop Adalynn from getting dirty, she just tried to make sure her mother didn't see it. she wasn't like normal girls. the prospect of dirt didn't scare her, she actually enjoyed getting her hands dirty. she knew that some times things just turned out better if you used your hands. given that she loved to bake and cook, some times the recipe was just easier to deal with if she used her hands rather then a spoon. besides, when you got your hands in there and when it turned out great you felt more accomplished. though merlin forbid if her mother ever discovered the girl broke a sweat over cooking or anything for that matter. given that her mother had house-elves doing everything for her. sure, Adalynn had a house-elf but it was the one she had grown up with. she didn't abuse him like most pureblood's did though. she treated him fairly, allowed him to wear more then just rags and he turned out more like a friend then anything else. Adalynn had never exactly been a good pureblood, not the real Adalynn anyways. when she was around her parents she at least tried to be, for them. being a good daughter was all she racked that up to be, even if she hated having her nose up in the air when around them.
she hated the whole prim and proper idea that the pureblood's generally had going for them, it never made any sense to her. that children were to be seen and not heard. only speak whens spoken too and that girls were insignificant to boys. that alone was preposterous. girls could be just a good as boy, hell some times even better. then again she'd never understand the pureblood society, they seemed to make rules up as they went. in order to better suit themselves and that was honestly something she was never a fan of. trying to figure them out only left her with a headache and it was something she had given up a long time ago. she knew better then to disagree with her parents and simply took things as they came her way. no matter how awful they were. it was the main reason she had moved out of her parents place the moment she had enrolled in University. finally gaining some independence for herself. being able to get as dirty as she want, which was better for her given as clumsy as she was. Adalynn could trip over her own feet at the best of times. yet she could walk in heels without any kind of problem. this was something that usually puzzled those around her. except for those times when mother nature was against her, such as wet days like today. not that she minded though, life would be boring if she didn't allow herself to enjoy the smaller things like getting dirty. brushing some mud covered hair from her face as the young man introduced himself she smiled at him. "nice to meet you Winter, when your not covered in mud." the laugh continued to fall from her lips.
taking his hand she gently shook it, laughing at the feeling of mud squishing between their fingers. "i'm Adalynn, though generally i'm always this clumsy." the smile that was on her lips was genuine. another large burst of laughter escaped her lips as the mud he tried to wipe from himself came shooting at her. "so that's how you want to play things huh?" looking away from him and down to the mud puddle. scooping some up in her hand she gently tossed it at him, though had the same dilemma. she couldn't tell if it landed on him or simply fell back into the puddle. "did that even hit you?" she laughed. "i think yours hit right about here." Adalynn pointed to her stomach, where what use to be a white blouse was. "no need to be sorry." she immediately waved off his apology with a friendly smile. surprised that she wasn't rambling like a fool since she was talking with a guy. "a little more won't hurt anything." heck, she was already covered from head to toe in the mess already. shrugging her shoulders as she grabbed up some more mud in her hand. looking him over she smiled playfully. "though you look like you could use some more, right about here." leaning forward she plopped the mud in the only clean spot left on him. he wasn't freaking out about being in the mud puddle so something told her she would hardly mind. "oops!" she laughed, even though she had told him of her actions before hand. it was fun to pretend she hadn't meant too. Adalynn honestly couldn't remember the last time she had laughed like this, especially around a guy.

And I can't describe there's something about the way you change me winter never really made friends with girls. most of them were either too girly or reminded him too much of mattie. however the simple color red reminded the boy of the beautiful girl. it wasn't very easy or his mind to steer clear of her though he tried very hard for him to do so. however the simple thought of having red out of his mind was simply frightening. he was quite in something for the girl, anything more and he would have to throw himself off a bridge, and he didn't want to be in that something with her because he knew all too well that would only end with him being in quite a lot of pain and that was something that he didn't want to happen. who would voluntarily put themselves through pain that they didn't want to be in? winter wasn't sure but he knew damn well that he was no that type of man to be put in a situation that he would place himself into pain... that was where he stood though. every time that mattie spoke to him about that stupid little slytherin's of hers winter died a little on the inside. he knew it was so bad for him and knew that he should almost just stop all communication with mattie but he just couldn't, he physically could not take not seeing that bubbly smile and those huge brown eyes and that fabulous red hair that she had. he couldn't take it, he wouldn't have known what to do with himself if he was to not see mattie at least once a day. she was so pure yet so addicting, and he liked that about her. that wasn't a sufficient word but it would have had to do. it always had to do as winter wouldn't say the other l word. that would be enough for now.
now covered in mud mattie was the last thing on his mind. he was more worried about the girly girl in front of him who might hex him into an oblivion for getting mud on her perfect hair and her perfect what ever it was that those girls wore. however when she laughed winter was genially surprised. mud squished between their fingers, man that stuff was really everywhere. "so this was your fault?" he laughed softly, clearly joking with her. when some mud he had wiped off shoot straight too her winter couldn't help but be petrified where he was. he used his hands to cover his face, only part that now was clear of mud since he had cleaned his glasses, when she shoot a dirt ball. he wasn't sure that the dirt ball had him when adalynn mentioned it. he laughed a little. "i don't think it did actually. not that it would make much difference," he said laughing slightly. suddenly though before he could move an inch she had inched herself forward and plopped some mud on a clean spot on his shirt. "hey mine was by mistake but this is war!" he said smiling and laughing a little. he bend down and begun to built a mud fort. "just give me a minute! i gotta built my castle!" said winter, he was excited. he never lost at snowball fights he didn't think a dirt ball fight would be any difference. "unless you're afraid to get dirty?" he asked her raising an eyebrow when she didn't move. he laughed a little, it wouldn't make much difference now, she was already drenched in mud, she might as well go all in. he wouldn't have expected such a girly girl looking girl be so into mud. he was quite enjoying her company, and it wasn't even in the slightest romantic way. winter could tell that this could be the start of an incredible friendship.
