[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=style, width: 400px; background-image: url(http://i583.photobucket.com/albums/ss279/legendskseeker/oceanbreezebg.png); padding-bottom: 20px;] words // 603 // tagged // jasleen/annie <3 boy with a coin, T H E N M A K I N G A W I S H , A N D T O S S E D I N T H E S E A as gabriel threw his books on the table he sighed at the librarian telling him to be quiet. that woman was just so uptight and told you off if you let a pin drop because it was, apparently, too loud. he didn’t understand it. most people hated working in complete and utter silence, it was just too eerie for gabriel. he liked to listen to the hustle and bustle of people going about that lives. it seemed to make homework a lot less boring and the whole ordeal that bit more bearable. gabriel picked up a book, looking at the title before pushing away, deciding he didn’t want to do that homework just yet. picking up another book, he sighed, not wanting to do that either. since when did he have so much work to do? it was because he had been doing flying practice all week. he had gotton so far behind on all of his work. he was beginning to wonder whether he should give up on uni or not and just try and get on a good quidditch team. he had got in touch with a few of them and some had gotton back to him saying that they would observe his flying and then make their decision. well that was a big step towards becoming a professional. maybe he should just focus on flying. it was something that he enjoyed immensely and he was very very good at it. naturally good at it. gabriel shook his head violently realising that he needed to focus on his work if he didn’t want to get in big trouble by his teachers. picking up a potions book he opened it to the right chapter and got his quill and parchment out, writing his name and the title of the essay at the top of the page very neatly. gabriel loved keeping his work tidy. he had very good handwriting and was a bit OCD about making his work look perfect. teachers loved him for it because it made his work easier to read. gabriel started writing, pauses every so often to check the book for notes or ideas. a few hours passed and by this time the whole table to completely full of papers and books. so much so that no-one would have any room to sit down, not that gabriel wanted to speak to anyone right now. he was on a role and he was so close to finishing all of his work that he could practically smell freedom. his hand was aching from all the writing and his head was pounding from all the concentrating and gabriel decided that he at least deserved a little break before he finished his last piece of homework otherwise he’d probably get a u on it and he really didn’t want that. the last time he failed something he had gotton a pretty scary howler from his dad. he still doesn’t know how his dad found out which scared him a little because that probably meant that his father was monitoring practically everything that gabriel did and although he wasn’t doing anything particularly bad he wouldn’t want his father finding out about his drunken nights where he ended up kissing loads of girls and waking up with a huge hangover. gabriel sat back from the desk, stretching his hands up, wincing slightly as his shoulders clicked after having worked so hard for the past hours. then, reluctantly, gabriel picked up his quill and carried on, desperate to get outside in the fresh air and enjoy the sunshine. he wouldn’t let anything distract him now. |
