Peyton had been restless lately. She had been stuck inside her house the past few days, running around helping her mother out around the kitchen and the house and just keeping her mother company. After her brother had left the home for the university, no one was ever around the house except for herself and her mother, especially whenever her father was out of town. Peyton had been wanting to get out of the house for days but today was the first day she’d been able to go anywhere in the past few days. Her mother had decided to go shopping and she could do as she pleased. She had aten some breakfeast while she waited for her mother to get her things together to go shopping. She was more than ready to get out of the house, so much more willing than she led on. She was always one for being out and about, one of the reasons she loved her job as quidditch announcer, that and the pure fact she loved quidditch altogether. She had decided to just go to the park. To relax for a little bit. That sounded good to her, who knew who or what she might run into there she thought with a grin whenever she had left her house that morning. She had considered going to florish and blots to see her friend but decided against it. Her mother would be running all around there and if she saw her talking to him she knew there would be trouble, seeing as he was a muggleborn, and the fact that she had defied her father to see him before. She flinched at that thought. That had been the worst time in her life, she couldn’t wait to be out of the house forever, just to move as far away as she could. To get away from her father, and all of his expectations of her, so she could just be her. She made her way to the park and smiled. It was so beautiful, she loved going there whenever she had the time too.
She found a bench of to the side of the park, empty and open. She walked over there slowly making sure not to run into other people as she made her way over there. She had never been the most graceful person, so she was always careful. When she made her way to the bench she sat down with a long sigh. It felt good having nothing to do or have a responsibility. Just to have nothing going on and have plenty of peace.
